Nose of bready yeast, golden raisins, light spices, and floral hops. Cloudy gold with a small off white head. Flavor has a light bitterness, light sweetness, light spiciness, some fruitiness, and a spicy finish with a bit of bitterness showing up in about 20 seconds and lingering for a while. Light but very complex nuances to this one. alexsdad06 (1082), Ohio, USA
| 3.4 | Aroma | Appearance | Flavor | Palate | Overall | | 7/10 | 3/5 | 7/10 | 3/5 | 14/20 | Jan 19, 2009 12 oz. bottle. Pours a slightly hazy golden color with a creamy medium sized off white head. The aroma is at first hoppy: floral, lemon citrus, and crisp. The malt comes off as more bready and grainy with a hint of honey. The flavor is much of the same a base of bready and grainy malts well balanced with floral citrusy hops. This does have some hints of spice in the flavor as well. Dry, medium bodied. Decent. juiceisloose (671), Windermere, Florida, USA
| 3.5 | Aroma | Appearance | Flavor | Palate | Overall | | 7/10 | 3/5 | 7/10 | 4/5 | 14/20 | Jan 18, 2009 2007 bottle. Pours a cloudy golden color with a decent sized off white head that slowly settles to a thin layer on top. The aroma is of citrus fruit and citrus hops to go with a lot of caramel sweetness and belgian candy sugar. The flavor follows the sweet theme with the caramel and candy sugar dominating the citrus fruits with some bittering hops in the background. I think the age on this one allowed for all the malts to dominate the hops. Medium bodied and almost sticky on the mouthfeel that went down smooth with the sweet sugar left behind. Pretty nice flavor and definitely belgian style, but the hops were all but gone on this one. WickerBrew (312), Chicago, Illinois, USA
| 3.1 | Aroma | Appearance | Flavor | Palate | Overall | | 7/10 | 3/5 | 6/10 | 2/5 | 13/20 | Dec 24, 2008 Had this one on draft - always wanted to try it but never got around to it. I was expecting more of a pale ale taste but this is definetly Belgian. Thick and sweet, the hops are in there but that sugary taste is what this was all about. Good, but not my cup of tea. jimmack34 (567), Lancaster, Ohio, USA
| 4.4 | Aroma | Appearance | Flavor | Palate | Overall | | 8/10 | 4/5 | 10/10 | 4/5 | 18/20 | Nov 20, 2008 Had this one back in "06. I’m kicking myself in the ass for this, but i didnt pour it into a glass. If I knew how rare of a treat this was, I would have taken better care in how I drank it. Smelled very unusual, like flowers and spicy. Tasted exceptional smooth, very soft and full flavored, but unlike a beer that I have ever tried at the time. Soft flowery flavor, with some citrus and light fruits. Easy drinking, as the aftertaste is as smooth as the fruits and hops its made with. Excellent brew. dkachur (2380), Charlottesville, Virginia, USA

Pours a hazy peach color with a thin but persistent frothy head. Aroma of yeast, dough, faint hops and subtle caramel. Taste is pear like fruit notes, bready notes and spicy hops. Medium bodied.
