Commercial Description:
Like the digits suggest, it's a beer that's densely populated with flavor and loaded with character. We don't filter it, so none of its life and soul is stripped away. The first thing you notice is the hazy, cloudy appearance. That’s how you know it’s unfiltered. What hits you next is the spicy aroma of Cascade hops, followed by the crispy, fruity ale flavor delivered in a smooth, creamy body, the result of blending barley malt with torrified wheat. It’s not like any other Goose Island Beer, but no less that you’d expect.

Location: 12 oz bottle from jcos, 11/12/09

Aroma: It has an aroma of citrus, wheat, spice, and honey
Appearance: Pours a hazy straw yellow color with a bubbly white head
Flavor: Taste is similar to the nose, spice, wheat, lemon, and honey
Palate: It has an unexciting mouthfeel with a light amount of body
Overall Impression: Not the most exciting beer. It isn’t bad, but it just isn’t really memorable or exciting. I really don’t have to say much more on this beer, it is what one might expect.

On draft at The Happy Gnome. Pale gold in colour with a bit of haze and medium carbonation. Aromas are of flowers, peach, and a bit of wheat. Quite tart in the mouth, with notes of quince, lemon, and malted wheat. Fruity and a bit simple, but could provide some nice refreshment on a hot day.

bottle. Pours yellow and flat. Aroma of some hay, grass, wheat. Flavor is some spice, wheat, apple, understated. Thin and fizzy, not that great.

12oz bottle from VIllage Beer Merchant. Hazy yellow pour with fading white head. Aroma is nothing special to me....typical citrusy grain wheat beer aroma. Flavor is along the same lines but with a decent hoppy snap to accompany the decent sweet grain finish. If it were even hoppier, perhaps it might set itself apart.....but overall, a decent easy drinking wheat beer, especially on a hot day.

Poured from bottle into tall glass. Medium gold that is slightly hazy from the yeast. The yeast particles are very small and produce a nice sparkle effect. Some lacing but not much head. Major lemon smell, with some sweet wheat malt and light orange hops. Not a lot of taste but what is there is mostly nice. Citrus flavor overall - both lemon and orange, with some wheatiness, but not too much. However, it is slightly too sweet for me considering the style. Pretty high carbonation and light body. Pretty good for a summer day. Nice example of an American Wheat.

Bottle at Navy Pier. Pours a light opaque color typical of a wheat ale. Aroma is citrusy and hoppy but a little more doughy/stale than expected. Flavor was very mild and bitter with some sweet/spicyness. Nothing really too special. Palate is unremarkable. Not too great but its worth a try when in Chicago.
