Commercial Description:
Like the digits suggest, it's a beer that's densely populated with flavor and loaded with character. We don't filter it, so none of its life and soul is stripped away. The first thing you notice is the hazy, cloudy appearance. That’s how you know it’s unfiltered. What hits you next is the spicy aroma of Cascade hops, followed by the crispy, fruity ale flavor delivered in a smooth, creamy body, the result of blending barley malt with torrified wheat. It’s not like any other Goose Island Beer, but no less that you’d expect.

Bottled. A hazy golden beer with a thin white head. The aroma has notes of wheat and oranges. The flavor is sweet with notes of malt, wheat, and oranges, leading to a dry wheaty finish. The body is light. An uninteresting and forgetable beer.

I used to like this one, but then realized it was not all that good. It is a watered down american wheat. If you like the style of american wheat then this might be okay for you. The malts just did not come through for me.

Pours a cloudy yellow color with a little white head. Not much lacing. Wheat smell but not overally aromatic. Lacked in flavor and was little more tart than other wheats I’ve had.

Draft sample at GABF 2009. Hazy straw color with a small white head. Aroma is pale malt, wheat, citrus, and mild hops. Flavor is nicely balanced pale malt and wheat along with a slight citrusy hop kick and light spice. Palate is light and refreshing. This is not bad at all for a wheat ale.

I’ve been drinking and enjoying 312 for a couple of years now, a great go-to beer that is enjoyable and smooth. Light straw color, very crisp finish, a very good kolsch.

Cloudy, pale gold appearance with an average size head and little lacing. Subdued, wheaty, lemongrass aroma. Thin on the palate with a weak, wheatish, slightly fruity/citric taste. Light to medium bodied, decently carbonated mouthfeel with a short lived finish. Not a drainpour, but little to recommend.
