Commercial Description:
Like the digits suggest, it's a beer that's densely populated with flavor and loaded with character. We don't filter it, so none of its life and soul is stripped away. The first thing you notice is the hazy, cloudy appearance. That’s how you know it’s unfiltered. What hits you next is the spicy aroma of Cascade hops, followed by the crispy, fruity ale flavor delivered in a smooth, creamy body, the result of blending barley malt with torrified wheat. It’s not like any other Goose Island Beer, but no less that you’d expect.

Pale straw with a short living, white foam. Very bland, unappealing and boring.

12oz bottle: Pours a hazy yellow with a soft cap that fades quickly. The nose is weak, some bubble gum esthers if you reallly try. The body was about the same for me - a bit hoppy with a nice balance of vanilla and banana, but nothing spectacular. Tastes like an American Wheat yeast strain and lower alcohol. I could drink quite a few on a hot day, but the style just seems to be a Hefe-light kind of approach.

Sampled via 12-oz bottle at 10th Annual Ice Cold Beer Festival in Minocqua, Wisconsin. Pours a semi-clear pale light straw brew with a thick white head that has some good retention and lacing. Aroma of light mulit-grain malt, some yeast, and citrus zest. Taste is light to medium bodied, light carbonation with flavors of light multi-grain malt with wheat, yeast and a touch of citrus zest. Finish is semi-dry with a lemon zest aftertaste.

Bottle. Aroma of wheat and citrus. Slightly hazy golden color with a decent white head. Medium bodied with fizzy/creamy carbonation. Flavor is wheat with citrus. Flavor fades rapidly, and the finish is a little grain and a touch of citrus that persists.

Hazy yellow golden in color with light short-lived head. Big heavy wheat aroma - nice malt and hops mixture. A bit watery overall and weak on the palate. Overly light in flavor and palate for my liking. Quite thin. Taste is somewhat lemony.

12oz bottle. Pours cloudy gold with a white fluffy head. Clean, slightly fruity aroma. Taste is very light. Be good after cutting the grass in the summer.

Not bad, but not too exciting. would be a good summer beer, provided you were just thirsty (12/20)

There is a lot of hype about this beer, since I’m next to the 312 area code, but there isn’t too much to back it up for me. It is slightly too light, slightly too muddled, slightly complex and not much else. I guess it has a pleasant taste and is easy to drink, in the summer that is.
