Commercial Description:
Like the digits suggest, it's a beer that's densely populated with flavor and loaded with character. We don't filter it, so none of its life and soul is stripped away. The first thing you notice is the hazy, cloudy appearance. That’s how you know it’s unfiltered. What hits you next is the spicy aroma of Cascade hops, followed by the crispy, fruity ale flavor delivered in a smooth, creamy body, the result of blending barley malt with torrified wheat. It’s not like any other Goose Island Beer, but no less that you’d expect.

Chicago trip. Monday 14:17+. On tap at Clybourn. Hint of haze. Pale yellow. Hint of chemical in the nose. Creamy plain taste. Muddled wet grain. Not joyful.

On draught. Yellow-gold translucent with frothy, white head--really a nice hat for an American wheat. Some wet sourdough aroma, wheaty-yeasty flavor with some lemon-zest notes. A bit wet. Refreshing and sessionable wheat beer that does have some character.

Rated 8/8/06: Not much doing with this beer, no bad aspects but nothing spectacular either. Aroma is a mellow wheat with an ever so slight citrus scent. Nice appearance, hazy golden yellow with a good white head, very crisp. Mouthfeel is full and clean. Flavor is basically standard for an American Wheat. It is enjoyable but I really wanted more out of this beer.

yellow pour, clear with minimal head...aroma of grain, light grass, and a touch of citrus...flavor is mostly earthy with small citrus complements... somewhat spicy as well..

Bottle from Ryan. Thanks. Ive wanted to try this one for a while, and I finally got my chance. Kind of disappointing really - just tastes like what I think something that is in a bottle that says BEER should taste like. Some corn flavors, grain tasting, smooth and light though. Not bad, but its no oberon. Thanks man.

Cloudy, light yellow pour. Grainy, grassy, slightly spicy aroma. Flavor has a tangy finish, only slightly sweet at the start. Thin body, but clean, crisp mouthfeel. Not much else. Easy drinking, thirst quenching.

Aroma is light citrus and hay. Color is cloudy pale yellow with a white diminishing head. Flavor is mild, light citrus qualities with a bitter grassy aftertaste. Light bubbly mouth-feel. Ok overall.

Thin, gold, small white head. Very light aroma and mouthfeel. I prefer a Belgian Wit to an American Wheat style, but this is drinkable in a pinch.
