Commercial Description:
Like the digits suggest, it's a beer that's densely populated with flavor and loaded with character. We don't filter it, so none of its life and soul is stripped away. The first thing you notice is the hazy, cloudy appearance. That’s how you know it’s unfiltered. What hits you next is the spicy aroma of Cascade hops, followed by the crispy, fruity ale flavor delivered in a smooth, creamy body, the result of blending barley malt with torrified wheat. It’s not like any other Goose Island Beer, but no less that you’d expect.

12oz, pours very clear piss yellow with no head. nose is very yeasty and coriander. taste is yeasty, vegatable, lemony, pepper, with mild citrus. mouthfeel is fizzy. flavors are blended pretty well and this is refreshing.

Bottle. Pours cloudy-clear yellow with lively carbonation. Hoppy and grassy on the nose. Tastes of flat grass with faint lemon and green vegetables thrown in a blender and pureed. Watery mouthfeel, but not too watery. Average at best.

Bottle. Poured cloudy straw color. Some foam that hung around for about 5 minutes. Aroma is distant citrus, bit of malt. The taste is muted wheat and bubbles. Surprised at the carbonation. Nothing really stands out in this one, and certainly is not a big wheat, but it is quite drinakable.

First time I’ve been disappointed with a GI product. Poured a cloudy blonde with a healthy head. The aroma was foul, but there wasn’t much of it so I’ll give them some points there. Flavor was sweet with bananas and a little malt. Just not much there.

Pours a hazy yellow, topped by a fizzy quarter inch of nearly white foam. Good carbonation is evident. No head retention, no lacing. Slight dry wheat aroma. Slight wheat flavor - dry but not really tangy. More of a cereal grain than anything else. Light body. Generic hops for balance - no character. You know - that’s it - the lack of character in this beer. It is decent, it is well made, but it does nothing for me.

Hazy pale yellow body, like a lemonade but with straw tones, thin off-white head. Earthy, biscuity aroma. Light, tart, bready body, grassy. Tastes a bit stale despite the 10 April 2007 drink by date, although, come to think of it, that same taste characterizes their Summer Ale. Rather dull and boring, and I’m not a big fan of the palate, either. Pass.

From my tasting notes at an "earlier" date. On tap @ Old Chicago. Poured a slightly hazy straw golden with a small creamy white head. Aroma of some cardboard/paper, light lemons, tinge of banana. Flavor is the same with a lot of citrus and tang coming through. Watery body and highly carbonated. Meh.
