Commercial Description:
Like the digits suggest, it's a beer that's densely populated with flavor and loaded with character. We don't filter it, so none of its life and soul is stripped away. The first thing you notice is the hazy, cloudy appearance. That’s how you know it’s unfiltered. What hits you next is the spicy aroma of Cascade hops, followed by the crispy, fruity ale flavor delivered in a smooth, creamy body, the result of blending barley malt with torrified wheat. It’s not like any other Goose Island Beer, but no less that you’d expect.

Faint aroma, small disappearing head, and little carbonation. Bright golden color. Last few drops added cloudiness that slowly sank to the bottom of glass. Okay flavor, somewhat citrus- but not much to it.

312 is a typical American Wheat beer. It has a nice crisp taste that I enjoy on a hot summer day. A little bit of citrus and banana taste, but not something that you would notice over the wheat unless you drank a lot of it and paid attention. If I want a 12 pack of beer that is pretty good and not too pricey, I’ll pick up 312. Aside from that, it’s probably not something that I’d casually drink.

Dark yellow with a bright white head. Mild, yeasty aroma. Lightly flavored, in a typical American Wheat way. Highly carbonated. Good with a lemon slice.

Funny thing happened as I drank this one. The more I drank the more of a bitter aftertaste I had in my mouth. Never saw the cloudy appearance associated with unfiltered wheat ales, and I saw the gal pull it directly into the glass and set it in front of me. I found this to be average, something I wouldn’t turn down, but wouldn’t go out of my way to get one.

Very light straw color, is cloudy and has a small amount of white head for a wheat beer. Some spice in the aroma, with lots of banana. The aroma was lacking in strength, however. The flavor lack a lot. Some banana in the finish. Some tartness. This resembles a pale lager way to much to me. The lemon actually seemed to help this beer... ouch...

Pours hazy golden with light white head. Faint citrus aroma, but not much else. Flavor is smooth but lacking.

Not a lot of aroma but what there is seems to be mostly cloves. This beer is advertised as unfiltered but is much more clear than other unfiltered offerings. Mouthfeel is somewhat syrupy but it is quite dry in taste. There is a hint of banana but also some soap that gives an unpleasant bite. Perhaps just a hint of sweet citrus is evident, but not very much. Some lemon can also be found. I love wheat beers but was disappointed by this one. It comes from a great brewer, too which adds to the disappointment.

(Tap) Pours a slightly hazy golden color with a small amount of white head. Smooth flavor, with mild citrus notes and a little bit of wheat mixed in. Light in mouthfeel and charactor. Overall, not a bad beer, but not as good as I expected.
