This beer is advertised as unfiltered but is much more clear than other unfiltered offerings. Mouthfeel is somewhat syrupy but it is quite dry in taste. There is a hint of banana but also some soap that gives an unpleasant bite. Perhaps just a hint of sweet citrus is evident, but not very much. Some lemon can also be found. I love wheat beers but was disappointed by this one. It comes from a great brewer, too which adds to the disappointment. troyc (1175), Lubbock, Texas, USA
| 3 | Aroma | Appearance | Flavor | Palate | Overall | | 6/10 | 4/5 | 6/10 | 2/5 | 12/20 | Dec 23, 2006 (Tap) Pours a slightly hazy golden color with a small amount of white head. Smooth flavor, with mild citrus notes and a little bit of wheat mixed in. Light in mouthfeel and charactor. Overall, not a bad beer, but not as good as I expected. SGTHibbert (100), Perry, Iowa, USA
| 3.5 | Aroma | Appearance | Flavor | Palate | Overall | | 7/10 | 4/5 | 7/10 | 3/5 | 14/20 | Dec 23, 2006 Nice deep golden color. Nose of cookies and grain. Light citrus. Moderate dough and soap. Very light hints of banana and honey. Not bad but not good. Decent wheat beer but I think Boulevard does it better. brewhan (14), USA
| 3.3 | Aroma | Appearance | Flavor | Palate | Overall | | 4/10 | 4/5 | 7/10 | 4/5 | 14/20 | Dec 20, 2006 Starts nicely if you let it sit for about 3 seconds, but I agree that it feels somewhat lacking in body as if it were watered-down. valpoaj (363), Valparaiso, Indiana, USA
| 2.4 | Aroma | Appearance | Flavor | Palate | Overall | | 5/10 | 2/5 | 4/10 | 4/5 | 9/20 | Dec 19, 2006 Pours a bright white cloudy head with a characteristic wheat body. Aroma is somewhat odd...not necessarily pleasant, but not really bad either. Nice on the palate with a nice, smooth finish, but the flavor is somewhat lacking, with an empty feel to the brew. A light fruity flavor, particularly lemony, is evident, but overall, this beer was hollow and lacked any distinguishable trait...somewhat of a disappointment hotstuff (3183), Indiana, USA
| 2.7 | Aroma | Appearance | Flavor | Palate | Overall | | 5/10 | 3/5 | 5/10 | 3/5 | 11/20 | Dec 16, 2006 Bottle at Pier 32 in Hamilton, IN. Marked best when consumed by 022107. Poured a very small off-white head that quickly dissipated, sparse lacing, visible carbonation, slightly cloudy, and a yellow hue. Nose was sweet, wheat, spicy, hops, fruity, and crisp. Flavor was sweet, thin, wheat, spicy, some maltiness, and a little bit fruity. Fairly smooth mouthfeel and a bit thin. Light body. A so-so brew. redlem (1155), Illinois, USA
| 2.3 | Aroma | Appearance | Flavor | Palate | Overall | | 4/10 | 2/5 | 4/10 | 2/5 | 11/20 | Dec 9, 2006 How about 411, have you seen a flavorful wheat beer? Not here. I suppose the "urban" quality just ran over any of the farmhouse feel to this style but this was just aweful. Never been a fan of GI but this was just bad. ogglethorp (890), Ohio, USA
