Great use of dry-hopping/ The aroma smells like kind nuggets and pine. Hops are huge in the beginning with toasty like maltiness in the long finish. A superbly balanced beer. This would be in my fridge all year if possible. Comes out each Fall around Late Sept. JoeM500 (1876), Chicago (little italy), Illinois, USA

It is so smooth with a soft malty beginning that turns to a hoppy spicy finish. It’s almost gone, so grab a couple six packs if you see ’em! Sickboy282 (1098), San Diego, California, USA

Im not the biggest ESB fan, but this brew is an ecxellent intro. Well balance hops with a smooth crisp palate. Reccommended VENOM (941), Connecticut, USA
| 3.5 | Aroma | Appearance | Flavor | Palate | Overall | | 7/10 | 3/5 | 7/10 | 4/5 | 14/20 | Feb 21, 2002 Best before date - 2/21/02. Hazy light amber. Thin white edge head. Very light carbonation. Aroma of piney/citric hops, orange peel and honeyed malts. Very citric flavor with notes of bitter tea and light biscuity malts. Carbonation fizzles to nothing. An overall decent ESB with good hop burps, even for an old brew. Would be great on cask. trappist12 (200), Kansas City, Missouri, USA

Best thing about this beer is the great dry-hopped aroma. Dry-hopping makes me want to wet my pants, I love it so. Extremely light body here, and some basic fruity flavor and bit of vegetable taste as well. Not my bag, but ok. npdempse (931), St. Petersburg, Florida, USA
