I was thinking about what I was gonna do for one hundred, I was in Oliver T’s and I saw this. I have been wanting to try it for a long while so perfect! Absolute tar like pour. Huge aroma of cherries, slight vanilla and bourbon. The flavor is amazing. its so thick on the tounge. Cherries and vanilla up front and then sweet coconut and awesome notes of the bourbon. The finish is where the malts and toffee rear their head and a touch of bitterness. Wonderfuly balanced. The alcohol is there especially witht the hint of bourbon to help it along. This is special and I am damn proud to have had it for my hundrenth. Cheers ratebeerians! | 4.3 | Aroma | Appearance | Flavor | Palate | Overall | | 8/10 | 4/5 | 8/10 | 5/5 | 18/20 | Jan 13, 2009 Pours almost pitch black with a very small dark tan head that fades very quickly. Aroma of sweet cocoa powder, slight coffee, and bourbon. Flavors of dark chocolate, sweet maltiness balanced by a roasted grain. The bourbon then comes on very powerfully, but its not just bourbon flavored, which I like. Finishes with cocoa powder and vanilla and a strong alcohol burn. Perfectly carbonated, with a thick chewy body and a strong alcohol burn. very good beer and the 13% abv is hidden well. Perfect dessert dinner baggio (195), norrtälje, Sweden

Apperance: Darkbrown, almost black. It has a creamy, beige, head that leaves no trace on the glass
Aroma: Big nose on this one consisting of vanilla, bourbon, coffee and chocolate.
Flavor: Intense flavor of Roasted malts, Vanilla, Chocolate, Ripe fruit with a hint of licorice, spices and alcohol.
Palate: Liquid is very thick and carbonation is low. Very filling and huge in all aspects. This is a sipper folks!
One of the best beers i’ve ever tried. It has certain similarities to the beer Kaggen - Stormaktsporter by Närke Kulturbryggeri but it’s not as balanced. You can’t miss out on this one!

| 3.7 | Aroma | Appearance | Flavor | Palate | Overall | | 6/10 | 4/5 | 7/10 | 5/5 | 15/20 | Jan 11, 2009 12oz bottle. Pours a thick, dep brown/black, with a nice mocha head. Roasty aroma heavy on mal with some potentially cloying qualities. Bitter chocolate shavings and roasted coffee. Flavor is rich and heavy, quite good. Smooth, creamy bitter chocolate and a bitter finish heavy on roasted coffee beans. Finish is hot with a touch of harsh bourbon, which is this beer’s weakest trait. No my favorite style but a fine example. Thanks Malcolm! rcasta (474), El Salvador

| 4.2 | Aroma | Appearance | Flavor | Palate | Overall | | 8/10 | 3/5 | 9/10 | 5/5 | 17/20 | Jan 10, 2009 Bottle. Brought home from Systembolaget in Malmö. Thanks Peter. 2008 Vintage on 9. january 2009. Pours utterly black. A disappointing, fizzy, dark, coca-cola fizzy head. Disappears quickly. Extremely powerful aroma. Lots of bourbon (naturally), oak, chocolate, raisins, some slight coffee, good toffee and roasted malts. Quite vinious as well. Low carbonation, fat and oily, wonderful mouthfeel. Just a bit of a fizz at the end. Flavour is stunningly complex. Begins vinious, with hard roasted malts. Then turns nutty and sweet with almond notes. Then coffee and lots of bourbon take over with a woody edge. At the far end, there is a long, lingering, warming, vinious aftertaste with dried fruits, coffee, cocoa and raisins. Really quite wonderful because of its many layers. And impressive that it is only warming and not burning with 13 %. RaphaelN (195), Peterborough, Ontario, Canada
| 4.2 | Aroma | Appearance | Flavor | Palate | Overall | | 8/10 | 5/5 | 8/10 | 4/5 | 17/20 | Jan 9, 2009 Updated: Jan 18, 2009Bottle thanks to HogTownHarry. Pitch black pour with a small tan head. Tons of chocolate on the nose accompanied by coffee and a small amount of roast malt. Taste is very sweet: chocolate, blackstrap molasses, coffee and marzipan.
This was a bonus bottle that Harry was kind enough to present to me. Thanks for a wonderful beer! Absolutely beautiful.
Only thing is that you can’t drink too much of it unless you have a big sweet tooth.
