Pours out a deep brown color with a huge beige head. All i can get is bourbon in the aroma. Flavor tastes like Jim Beam on the rocks that has been sitting out for about 30 mins. I love this beer. its grrrrrrrrrrreat!!

Thanks to illinismitty for sharing this at the RBSG 08 Grand Tasting. Dark rust color with a nice light tan head. Aroma of bourbon, caramel, and spice. Flavors of caramel, burnt brown sugar, raisin, oak, and dark chocolate. Great complexity but not overly heavy on the palate.

2006 Bottle. Poured a medium sized fizzy tan head that mostly expired, fair amount of lacing, some floaties, mostly opaque, very little carbonation noted, and a reddish brown hue. The aroma was some chocolate, alcohol, bourbon, vanilla, caramel, dark fruits, sweet, and oak. Very, very nice! The flavor was sweet, dark fruits, bourbon, vanilla, somie oak, some chocolate, and caramel. Quite tasty! Tingly mouthfeel with a warming sensation and medium bodied. A very, very quaffable brew, nice balance, a definite bourbon presence, would be quite a nice beer on a cold, snowy Indiana night. More please!!

2006 bottle I got for a steal for only $2.99. Dark color. Carbonated a little too much. Smell of vanilla, caramel, oak, bourbon, nuts, chocolate, alcohol and plums/raisins. Taste of vanilla, caramel, oak, bourbon, nuts, chocolate, dark fruit and hops.

Cocoay, with some spicing, like a caramel spice cake coved in chocolate, little hints of the bourbon, taste dosen’t reveal the spice to much ,mostly velvety, caramel chocolate with lots of the vanilla apects of the bourbon, almost has a chocolate liquerfinish,no roastedness, pleasant, satisfying, wonderful, thanks kingpin

Bottle shared by Crosling, thanks Nick. Poured a deep cola-brown color with a moderate off-white head that faded to a ring. Aroma of cola-like malt sweetness with some light grape and raisin, as well as a bit of caramel. Flavor had the same cola-like malty sweetness with undertones of sweet grapes and plum with some woodiness and a moderate spice from the bourbon. Smooth on the palate, pleasant oak bite. Pretty nice beer, a bit sweet though,
