2009 bomber. Pours a nice opaque reddish brown with a foamy light brown head and lots of sticky lacing. Aroma is nuts, toffee, bread, hops, spices, fruits. Flavor is nuts, toffee, spices, a nice bite of hop bitterness, dough, caramel, grass, fruits. Nice bittering in the finish. Good brew.

Mild aroma of nuts and sweet apple with some sweet hops in the background.. Rather amber for a brown with hints of red and a nice rocky head. Very doughy flavor, complex with chocolate and cherries, caramel and burnt sugar, and a dollop of spicy noble hop character. Toasted chestnut flavor throughout. Incredibly rich and full bodied. Sprucey hop twang at the finish. I am glad I picked this up and wish BOTW carried the 12 ozers.

650ml bottle at the Rake, 14th Dec 09. Clear dark copper colour with a cream head. Immense malt sweetness, lots of spices. Nice bottle and all the basic ingredients for a good Christmas beer but it doesn’t really deliver anything out of the ordinary.

Bomber 2009 poured a clear reddish amber with a small lingering amber head. Aromas of carmel, spice, toffee and light fruittiness. Palate was medium bodied and smooth. Flavors of carmel, cocoa and light earthiness with a smooth malty finish.

Bottle from Ølbutikken, 75 cl. Says 7 % alc. on the bottle unlike the 5,4 % that it says in this page. ??? Thumps up for the social engagement that you guys are doing with this beer. The pour is clear kobber red with an orange head. The nose has a clear and nice hoppy profile. Some yeast and oranges with some malts and sea breeze is in the aroma too. I served it a bit too warm - sorry. The alcohol and maltprofile dominates with a faint touch of spices. The taste is sweet and mild unlike many christmas ales. It has a creamy palate with hoppy finish.

Pours a medium brown with a bit of red to it. The aroma is a roasty and malty with hints of fruit. The beer drinks pretty smoothly without having too much flavor. That said, it has the body and flavor to warm the body and soul on a cold winter night.

Bomber from Beverages 4 Less ($7.99). Pours a lovely dark amber color with orange-red hues and a finger and a half of fluffy head that leaves nice lacing. Subtle nose includes orange peel, pine, and some spice. Flavor is similarly mellow with caramel notes, tangy holiday spice, and hints of citrusy hops. Surprisingly creamy mouthfeel but feels a rather light for a Christmas ale.
