On tap. Pours murky brown/mahogony color with a decent sized soapy off white head. Aroma is caramel malts, toffee, molasses, raisins. Flavor is again rich caramel malts, some toffee, dried fruits, slight yeast. Body is medium bodied, medium carbonation finishes sweet. This was fantastic!

from a growler brought up by Jory an PJ from GI to Bodega Brew Pub in La Crosse, WI . I like this. Classic Bavarian weisse characteristics. Great body. Nice play with those features and some smoothness that at the same time, is offset by a subtle sharpness. Very easy beer.

Tap @ Clybourn. Pours a murky brown with a white head. Nose of banana, chocolate, caramel, and various fruity esters. Really fruity flavor. Banana, red fruit, doughy, chocolate, and sweet, but balanced and creamy. Tasty beer.

Tap @ GI Clybourn – Dark hazy brown, white creamy head. Rich nose of spicy caramel and plum that flow over softer notes of molasses and warm golden raisins. Chocolaty dark fruit flavor and hints of caramel balance well on an ending light hop bitterness tone. Is pulled together very well here. Full bodied, soft carbonation, dark fruit finish. Well made and certainly a favorite on this day...

on tap at clybourn. served in a goblet, which seemed like an odd choice throughout the enjoyment of the beverage. pours murky brown with small goldish-tan head. nose and malty with slight banana and raisins. flavor has big malt and dark fruit presence with banana notes coming through nicely. very smooth and clean. alcohol well hidden. smooth carbonation, medium body. this is a well made beer.

On tap at clybourn. Dirty red-brown, not unlike a flemish sour ale with a thin cricle beige head. Pretty aromatic, perfumy, alc, sweet malt, red fruit, grape, other light fruit. Flavor is banana upfront with red fruit, alc, a little grain, a little dough, winey (nice alc/grape balance). Med body with good carb. A very nice and enjoyable GI beer specifically a stand alone in style as well.

On tap at Clybourn brewpub. Red brown colour with a mostly lasting frothy off-white head. Spicy, clove, and banana aroma with chocolate notes. Big banana flavour, lightly spicy, a touch of acidity. Full bodied, chewy, but very drinkable.

smells like a hefeweizen, maybe a bit muted and more malty. taste was really flat, seriously watered down. basically nothing there. bit of nuts in there, not a lot of alcohol, mostly a letdown. rerate: this was delicious and i enjoyed it throughout. very sweet.
