Apr 11, 2006 Very very smooth. Dark redish brown with a dark creamy head. Medium body. Smooth finish. No aftertaste. Smells like cloves and is kind of sweet.

Feb 5, 2006 Tap: dark murky brown with huge beige head. Aroma is slightly smoky, roasted grain, banana nut bread, dark fruits and clove. Initial flavor is all raisin, with smoke, roasted grains and nuts, turns to bready/chewy banana and clove through the middle and finish. Very smooth and creamy mouthfeel. Wish this could be my everyday drink.

Jan 22, 2006 Sampled from a growler at the Milwaukee YEHa!05 courtesy of BBB63: Pours a slightly transparent deep mahogany with a thin ring of light-tan head. Has a sweet yeasty authentic bready dark caramel and dark fruity aroma. Starts with sweet toasty caramel and bready yeasty complexity. Finishes smooth and hides its abv well. Very well-balanced and authentic. A very nice weizenbock.

Jan 7, 2006 From a growler hauled up by Mike. Hazy brown body, soapy lacing. Plum, dried cranbery, creamy caramel aroma. More tart fruit and leafy hops in the flavor along w/ smoke, plum, and strong yeast. Medium mouthfeel. Thanks!

Dec 25, 2005 Hazy reddish brown ale, dark almost murky. Sweetvinous aroma with prunish notes. Sweet succulent Aventinus-like bock, with sweet vanilla, caramel, cloves and hops in final. Rich mouthfeel wth alcohol warmth. Excellent.

Dec 20, 2005 Growler, shared by BBB63. Enjoyed a large sample of this one. Aromas of coffee, caramel and some of that wheat, banana-like character. Mahogany brown with a thin, light brown head that thins. Flavor is chocoalty with banana and malty with some roasted coffee notes. Medium body with a nice creamy texture. A very enjoyable and well done beer.

Dec 20, 2005 Thanks to BBB63 for sharing this one. Out of a growler: Pours a dark brown, small white head. Aroma is dar malts, wheaty, sea salt, banana, licorice. Flavor is sweet and mild, light chocolate, roasted overtones to it. Overall a fine beer, notto too much, not too little.

Dec 20, 2005 Yet another growler ala BBB63. Copper color with a moderate off-white head. Aromas of caramel, sweet wheat, light chocolate and bananas foster. Flavors are full and sweet. Certainly sugar coated grapenuts with a few thin slices of bananas. Hints of spice and alcohol. A difficult style that has been hit well by this brewery.
