Milwaukee YEHa!05, brought via growler by BBB63. Murky caramely brown body, thin cream head. Caramely aroma with notes of brown sugar, toasted banana, chocolate, quite sweet, with hints of warm alcohol. Chocolatey body with banana, brown sugar, and toast. Medium-bodied, decent complexity, but a bit flat. All of the right components are here. Good beer.

Beautiful hazy caramel brown color with a scant head but lovely lacing tracts that cascade down the sides of the glass. Peppered, sugary fried bananas come calling in the aroma, along with brown sugared plantains, chocolate liquidity and sweet banana oatmeal. Rich, undermining, dry dark chocolate flavor compliments bananas rolled in crushed cocoa beans. Sweet candied fruit accentuations from powdery dates. Slight emphasis on mocha bitterness, especially when you look closely underneath the lip of the tongue. Slight meanderings of pepper and cloves help to reinforce the chocolate powered banana profile, especially in the finish. Big thanks to BBB63 for sharing a growler of this!

Pours to a deep red body with a thin non-existent white head. The aroma is cloves and bananas and deep roasty malts. Brown sugar. The flavor is a smokey and spicy banana and wood. Not really impressive. The palate is boring yet decent.

Got this one on tap at Goose Island Wrigleyville. Deep hazy, muddy brown pour with a short cap of cappuccino head that receded to a light ring. Very full aroma of banana, chocolate, caramel, clove, fresh wheat, prunes, raisins, and a bit of toffee. Deep and complex flavor blended all of the aroma components seamlessly, and made for an extraordinary treat. Sweet overall on the palate (from chocolate, caramel, and dark fruit), yet the wheaty aspects gave a great tingly banana and spice twist to it. Extra smooth, and a well drawn-out complex finish. A little warming on the finish... really wish they bottled this.

Available on tap from Goose Island (Wrigleyville), Chicago, IL. Hazy brown-black weizenbock with no discernable head. No discernable aroma or carbonation. Medium bodied that starts with a slightly sweet malt taste with notable banana and hop flavors and finishes with light bitterness. A good drinkable beer. Enjoyed sample during lunch at Goose Island.
