Ungstrup (11075), Frederiksberg, Denmark Jul 2, 2005 A hazy orange beer with a beutiful white head. The aroma is light - especially for an IPA - but there are some hops to be detected. The flavor is sweet grassy - quite nice - and with a dry end. omhper (10438), Stockholm, Sweden Mar 8, 2002 Amber coloured. Huge flowery, citric hoppiness in the aroma. A firm body, but as in most American IPAs everything revolves around the hops. Need I say ’bitter finish’? Really tasty, if you like American hops. I do! Papsoe (9999), Frederiksberg, Denmark Sep 16, 2005 (Bottle 35,5 cl) Cloudy light amber colour with a small, creamy head. Very lovely hoppy aroma. Distinct fruity notes, citrus - perhaps grapefruit? Malty with notes of caramel. Marked bitter finish. Very nice and typical American IPA. 160905 Oakes (6853), Miami Beach, Florida, USA Nov 25, 2000 Updated: Apr 7, 2005Bottle rating (April 2005): Golden colour. Arom is deep hops. Cleansing bitterness, woody, slightly oxidized. Flavours are rather blunt - needs a punch of pale malt or a slap of citrus to come alive.
Tap rating (from March 2000): Fantastic aroma with big American hops. But they serve this on nitrogen and that just makes the flavours collapse into a jumbled mess. Probably much better on bottle/cask/CO2. Ar 8; Ap 2; F 3; P 2; O 6 joergen (6257), Frederiksberg, Denmark Sep 13, 2005 Bottled.
Clear amber coloured with a huge off white head.
The aroma is dominated by pine needles, hops and malts with some sweetness.
Hoppy flavour with notes of pine needles and fruits.
