6 pack from Richard’s Grocery in Plattsburgh, NY. Born on 8/28/09. Aroma is very pleasant with hints of pine and some slight citrus. Definitely some C hops, and perhaps some simcoe. Lightly husky. Transparent copper color with a strong white head that leaves good lacing. Spicy, peppery, and herbal hop flavors to start. Some pale malts and a little earthiness is in the middle. Finishes with a little sweetness. A bit metallic, too. A very serviceable, and clean IPA.

[A] Orange, lemon zest, spicy earthy hops, sweet malt backbone.
[A] Calm pour shows a golden amber color with one finger of white head. Quickly recedes to a slight foam with soapwater bubbles and decent lacing down the glass.
[F] Sweet pale malt, biscuity, seems to be upfront with fruitiness, juicy hops in the middle, and malty finish complimented by a resiny pine linger.
[P] Nice feel. Decent bite. Good balance. Fairly sweet.
[O/D] $6 a 6 pack is a steal. This is a good brew, even if not the greatest IPA. Pretty damn fresh, too. I could drink quite a few out of bottle without noticing. Always something good from Goose Island.

Dec 14, 2009 Bottle Pours a yellowish copper with a good white head. The head lasts well and laced okay. Has a good hoppy aroma of citrus, pine, and floral. The carbination is good. Flavor is good hoppy but not over the top. Has an oily texture. The body is light to medium. Not a bad finish and a good aftertaste. Not a super harsh IPA but real drinkable.

Dec 11, 2009 Pours a yellow orange, more yellow, pale color with generous white head.
Very fresh floral and orange on the nose. Very tempting.
On the palate is a seriously hopped melody of flavours that are still balanced with malt. Simple story executed beautifully - assertive hop character but still balanced and very, very drinkable.
Among the best IPA’s I’ve ever had.

Nov 30, 2009 Pours a yellow/copper with a rocky off white head... Aroma of grapefruit, some slightly sweet malts, orange, some pine/wood... Piney/spicy flavor, not near the punch of citrus hops i was expecting, malts are more defined that the hops... Medium bodied/mouthfeel, quite drinkable... Decent, but not near the hoppy profile i expected....

Nov 28, 2009 Pours copper with a decent amount of white head and some lacing. Excellent hoppy aroma. Medium body. Tastes of citrus and hops, but I would have liked a little more. Not quite as in your face as the aroma is, but still a pretty good IPA

Nov 28, 2009 I’ve had IPA’s that were very sharp, harsh, perfumy and snappy bitter - too much so. This one is different. Everything seems right on. The Aroma is all hops. Appearance is dark gold/amber with fine bubbled foam. Taste and mouthfeel are wonderfully hoppy, smooth and soft with a dry finish. Not astringent at all. Hop flavor is flowery and lingers on the palate. This is an IPA and hops rightly dominate and overshadow malt. Finest IPA I’ve ever had.

Nov 27, 2009 Bottle at about 6 weeks old. Amber orange with an off white head. Big hoppy aroma, with piney, spicy, and citric notes. The flavor is relatively well balanced, with some grassy and citric hop notes and a light malty swetness. Very nice.

Nov 27, 2009 Pours a yellow golden hue with a lasting white head. Aroma is very hoppy; floral, pine, and citrus fruits. Tastes of floral and pine hops, bisquits, grapefruit, and citrus with a bitter hoppy finish. Light bodied with medium carbonation. Very good IPA.
