Mrthirstyneck (339), Minnesota, USA Jan 28, 2008 very very fruity nose, with some spiciness as well. Very thick, very creamy white head, that seems to lace almost like soap. flavor is sweet, fruity, but spicy as well. Lots of malts to be sure but really no noticeable hop finish. It does actually finish rather dry though. Not a bad beer. Just bought a single bottle. may try again.
derekbang (125), Indiana, USA Oct 9, 2008 On tap. Amber brown with little head. Very little aroma - bit of malt. Low carbonation - thin mouthfeel at first but lingering aftertaste. Flavor is fairly bland. Spice, some bitterness is there, but not much else. Rather unimpressed. puggy211 (336), cordova, Tennessee, USA Oct 7, 2008 2006 bottle.Pretty standard Belgian strong ale for me; but still well done. Yeast, citrus and fruit aroma. Flavor was much of the pretty good hillfiiiiire (210), Atoka, Tennessee, USA Oct 4, 2008 Pours an amber body with no head. Aroma is spicy, fruity and yeasty. Flavor is yeast, bread, spice and a little goodness. Finishes dry. fiver29 (330), Strongsville, Ohio, USA Oct 3, 2008 Bottle pours dark golden color with a thick off white head. Aroma is fruity and yeasty. Body is medium. Flavor is smooth yeast, bread, fruit spice, and alcohol warmth as you drink it. Overall a nice brew. Dogbrick (2266), Columbus, Ohio, USA Sep 30, 2008 Sample at Barley’s Smokehouse. This beer is a clear orange color with a medium and foamy off-white head that diminishes quickly. Stringy lacing on the glass. Aroma of citrus and biscuity malt, along with some sweet allspice. Medium-bodied with a borderline medicinal fruity character. Flavors of yeast, citrus and spices are all in the background. The finish is malty and fruity with a mild spiced hops aftertaste. Aside from the medicinal qualities, this beer is not bad.
