Aug 18, 2008 Bottled at Monk’s Café, Stockholm. Very black with firm creamy head. Tarry aluminium aroma. Medium sweet with rounded mouthfeel and medium body. Dense and highly roasted malt gives flavour of tar and smoke as well as dusty asphalt. Long dusty bitterness.

black with ruby edges, short lived fine tan head, drops of lace, dry roasted aroma, creamy oatmeal body, rich roasted flavor backed up by tasty dark chocolate, mostly dry with only the big body and oatmeal character balancing the dryness, lots of flavor but just too dry for me

Feb 10, 2005 (12oz bottle, best by 8/8/05) Clear brown body topped by pillowy medium tan head. Aroma is inviting -- medium sweet, rich chococoffee. Taste is much the same, but not as rich. Watery medium body. Nice beer, but after the aroma I wished for more.

Surprisingly highly regarded, this stout had little roast character to offer and overly enthusiastic carbonation.
I like:
Solid head.
I dislike:
Bubbly carbonation. Quite pale see-through dark brown. Hidden oatmeal character, this is thin from the beginning until the finish. Sweet in a fruity and butterscotchy way. We had two bottles and they apparently showed similar character.
