Pours a clear copper with a very creamy head. Aroma is earthy malty hops with a surprising nutty note. Flavor is very piney with a creamy end. Nutty almond. body is creamy yet light because of high carbonation.

Dec 21, 2009 Bomber. Nice clear orange-red color with a small white head. Nice nose - spicy but mild hops and sweet caramel malts. Very smooth flavors - the hops are citrusy, spicy, and a little grassy, while the malts are light and slightly caramelly. I don’t usually like amber or red ales that much, but this one’s nice - it doesn’t have the sharp acrid note I often encounter in ambers.

Nov 26, 2009 Bomber picked up from Binny’s in the South Loop in Chicago. I never had an intention of buying one of these but they were on sale for $2.50 a bottle and I could not pass it up. Poured a deep amber color with a one finger width tan head. The aroma was fairly bland. It consisted of light caramel malts and some very light hops. The taste was good but nothing exciting. It tasted of light hops, caramel malt, and a hint of roasted nuts. Finished very smooth and was very easy to drink. Overall, nothing too exciting but it was definitely worth it for the price I gave.

Nov 13, 2009 Tasted 11/12/09. 22oz bomber. Filtered with a fiery golden hue. Webbed off-white head. Aromas of apples and citrus. Medium bodied with a good dose of hop bitterness. Bright citrus flavors. Great meld of the palate. Esters and a slightly tart finish. Solid drinking!

Nov 3, 2009 Sample at a recent GI tasting. Pours deep amber. Aroma is good blend of hops over malts. I certainly didn’t taste chocolate malt, but the flavor was a wonderful pine and citrus hop taste. Slightly reminescent of the Stone 13th, but not quite as amped up. A very, very good amber ale. Glad I got to try.

Sep 24, 2009 aroma is of light pine with yet unidentified hop esters and chewy malt. appearance is serious lacing with soft peak head and very pretty dark red hue. flavor is soft esters of orange/tangerine and possibly something more acidic as well. substantial malt bill makes the mouthfeel quite creamy and perfect carb and lasting head dont hurt either.

Sep 19, 2009 22 oz bottle. Deep amber pour with a thick whitish head. The nose is lightly fruity with a distinct grapefruity nose. A little bit of sweet caramel and toffee as well as a light bitterness. Pretty nice hoppiness with soft orange peel flavour. Clean with a bit of lingering toffeeish sweetness. Pretty nice, if simple, beer. Nothing crazy, just a simple, clean amber ale.
