at GTMW ’09. pours hazed gold and very foamy white head. nose is bretty, hay, green, barnyardy. flavor is sweet bready, floral with mild brett funk to it, hay and pepper in the finish. tasty brew.

GTMW 2009. Poured a hazy straw yellow color with a white head. Big fruit-dominated aroma that included the likes of apricot, nectarine, and peach, there was also some danish and subdued clove. Light to medium bodied with light acidity. Interesting melange of flavors that pitted dusty corners and cobwebs against pale malt, tart apricot, lemon, and unripe orange. Good stuff.

On tap at GTMW. Poured pale, almost watery golden with a gigantic, sticky cap of white head. The aroma was just lovely.. funky, dry peppery yeast and earthy character over a sweet, but robust bready base.. balance was spot-on. The flavor found pale and bready malts at the core with lots of Brett-inspired funkage and zesty lemon around.. the bugs took over and were very tasty.. the dry finish was a bit too sour and assertive, otherwise this was delicious. Light-medium bodied with high carbonation on the palate.. it didn’t quite flow through the mouth as well as it smelled, but I’d gladly drink a lot more.

Light and delicate light I’d expect of a good saison. Pale with massive heat, this had funk and hops on the aroma and a faintly sour finish on the body.

Off straw color huge frothy foamy head lots of sediment. All I can smell is the dry hopping so so so much amarillow maybe a tiny hit of wet earth aroma under that, but hard to say almost a touch of fruit too. Avg pal. Flavor has some nice fruits like a pinepple hidden under the rediculous amount of amarillo again. Hops overwhelmed an otherwise subtle bret notes, but still good.

(Draught) Pours a hazy yellow body with a tall aggressive off-white head. Aroma of horseblanket, grass, florals, and citrus. Flavor of brett, citrus, earth, and grass with a dry, somewhat bitter finish.

Sampled at GTMW 2009 (Madison, WI). Pours a yellow pale, hazy hue, champagnesque with huge offwhite head, floaties included. Aromas are horse blanket brett, a touch Belgian yeast, with amarillo hoppy bouquet, and nice apple like fruitiness. Initial is light on the palate, farmhouse brett with some citrus acidity, lemon and pear. Brett coats the palate in a creamy wave. A champagne like beer, light with good flavors, good hopping from the Amarillo, but nothing overbearing for the style, instead making the finish dry, citrusy, and wonderfully bitter.
