| 3.5 | Aroma | Appearance | Flavor | Palate | Overall | | 6/10 | 4/5 | 7/10 | 3/5 | 15/20 | Jul 21, 2007 A beautiful dark golden amber with a fairly thick head. Aroma is both hoppy and malty, not strong but definitely noticeable. Flavor is rich, mainly hoppy, just a whisper of sweetness, a fair amount of hop bitterness. Finish is hop-bitter and pleasing. A good accompaniment to a meal, or fine by itself. Capa (989), Yokosuka, Japan
| 2.8 | Aroma | Appearance | Flavor | Palate | Overall | | 5/10 | 3/5 | 6/10 | 2/5 | 12/20 | Jul 10, 2007 Pours yellow with a medium white head. Sweet malt and grass. Medium body. Hides the 7% pretty well. Flavor is malt, some hops, hay, and sweet. The mild hops are most noticeable in the finish. Decent. truegen (164), Puyallup, Washington, USA
| 3 | Aroma | Appearance | Flavor | Palate | Overall | | 6/10 | 3/5 | 6/10 | 3/5 | 12/20 | Jul 8, 2007 12 oz. bottle. Used a pilsener glass and got a good head, but it dropped off quickly. Color is clear golden. You can really smell how sweet and malty this beer is going to be. The flavor has a touch of green hay hidden in amongst the sweet, somewhat plummy character. The alcohol sits hard on the middle of the tongue, but it’s not a flavor that sticks. I don’t get to try many GB beers. This one’s not bad. lb4lb (2011), Austin, Texas, USA

Tastes alcoholic, and doesn’t hide the 7 percent well. Blandish smell, some rubbing alcohol notes. Least favorite Gordone Biersch beer. badlizard (2360), Berkeley, California, USA

| 3.2 | Aroma | Appearance | Flavor | Palate | Overall | | 6/10 | 3/5 | 6/10 | 4/5 | 13/20 | May 26, 2007 Starts with a sweet aroma, with a hint of hops lurking in the background. The pour is a clear golden-amber, with a minimal head that fades quickly. Slightly sweet flavor, with a long hop finish. Not a bad beer, but there are too many other good ones out there to go after this again.
