Bottle shared with HogtownHarry and Blankboy, Harry’s bottle. Medium yellow, medium white head. Mild light malt aroma, nothing else. Strong alcohol in taste, very sweet. Some hops too. Not a bad taste - but the alcohol dominates. Not sure where the bock comes in really - reminds my of a local brewer here who tried a "PilsBock" which had more flavour than this. Interesting but forgettable.

Bottle (12oz). Shared with blanboy and tupalev, my bottle, via trade with IrishBoy. Clear pale gold with a large foamy white head. This seems more a wit - aroma of light spice, yeast, sweet lemony malt, dry grain; kind of wan. Tangy, resiny/lemony taste, alcohol registers loud and clear, quick, syrupy finish, dry, sweet, cloying - odd and a little boozy, not enough malt to carry it.

Thanks to IrishBoy for throwing this one in. Clear golden body, small and diminishing head with almost no lacing. Aroma was light bread, grass and some malt sweetness. Some alcohol in the finish. Still very drinkable, but not interesting.

I have yet to try a Gordon Biersch that I like and this was no exception. More malty than hoppy on the nose. No bitterness at all and too heavy and sweet for my taste. Color is very yellow straw and the head is thick and creamy.

Nose is malty with a little fruit esters; Orange/gold color with not much head; flavor is citrusy malts with a hint of berries. Finish shows a small amount of hop bitterness.

Tap at San Francisco airport

Pours clear gold with a sour strawberry aroma. Thick, viscous and a nice head. Flavor is watery strawberry and mango. Palate is thick. Not bad; nice and light pilsner with a slight fruit kick to it.
