Jun 21, 2006 Nose is malty with a little fruit esters; Orange/gold color with not much head; flavor is citrusy malts with a hint of berries. Finish shows a small amount of hop bitterness.

I was wrong.This beer is hands down the jewel of Gordon Biersch Brewing.
Very tastey not to bitter and no alcohol taste.

Pours clear gold with a sour strawberry aroma. Thick, viscous and a nice head. Flavor is watery strawberry and mango. Palate is thick. Not bad; nice and light pilsner with a slight fruit kick to it.

Jun 10, 2006 Tap. Sweet apple aroma. Medium golden color. Primarily straight malt flavor with just a hint of astringency. More like a lager than a bock - sort of like Shiner Bock. Tastes nice but very little bock characteristic in this one so I had to score it lower. As a straight forward beer, really pretty good. Maybe a good first bock for the inexperienced so as not to scare them away from the style.

May 30, 2006 The sample I had was old, but in no way tasted stale. The problem here was that the malt was stupendously unexciting. Heavy, sweet and utterly without any defining characteristic or element of excitement.

May 9, 2006 I’m drawn to those brews that look light, but have some kick. Straw colored with a light musty nose. Crisp malt flavor with a nice alcohol umph. Bitter finish is nice. Would have it again.

May 2, 2006 On draught at the Mission Valley brewery/ restaurante. Pours a medium golden color with a medium boddied white head. Aroma of malts and different summer fruits. One of my favorite Gordon Biersch brews.
