Pours out looking like bud light... taste very dark and caramel. a bubbly white head. Wish that stayed a while longer. It has a sweet malt aroma with a touch of floral hops and a suggestion of smoke. The smooth brew is all about rich caramel malt in the flavor. There’s a nice, herbal & floral hop finish. celogan (190), Oroville, California, USA
| 2.4 | Aroma | Appearance | Flavor | Palate | Overall | | 4/10 | 4/5 | 5/10 | 2/5 | 9/20 | Aug 17, 2005 Decent at best. Poud with mighty white head that just stayed. Color medium amber. Taste was malty and sweet, nose was also malty. Misleading Appearance - carbonation looked lively but the mouth feel was lacking carbonation and almost flat tasting. The bubbles did llittle more than support the head which lasted a while. This one is easy to pass up and I sure won’t buy any more. richlikebeer (832), Easton, Pennsylvania, USA
| 3.2 | Aroma | Appearance | Flavor | Palate | Overall | | 6/10 | 3/5 | 7/10 | 3/5 | 13/20 | Jul 25, 2005 on tap at the vegas brewpub, this was easily the best thing going there, pour was a bright golden color with a creamy white head that sat ontop for quite sometime. aroma was sweet and malty, hints of floral hops, lots of caramel malts. flavor was a mirror of the aroma, and the mouthfeel was creamy and smooth, with a sweet tail and a floral lingering taste. this was the only GB brew that was worthy of a growler. Too high atenuation temp here. bigtime cereal grain notes in the finish, like eating chereos. unbalanced and not very good i have to say. needs more hops drinkbeer (280), Redondo Beach, California, USA
| 2.6 | Aroma | Appearance | Flavor | Palate | Overall | | 2/10 | 3/5 | 6/10 | 3/5 | 12/20 | Jun 13, 2005 Good bang for the buck. Warming caramel malts. Light hops. My only major problem with this bottle was that it was slightly skunked. OhioDad (2491), Hilliard, Ohio, USA
