Clean golden color, with small amounts of carbonation floating lazily to the top. Small white head doesn’t last long, but makes for an overall beautful beer while it’s there. Aroma and taste of green apples and pears, but not enough to hide the formidable 7% abv. Light carmel and lemon finish. Not quite enough hops to balance the sugariness. Medium light bodied. An excellent lager for the price, very drinkable, one of my standards.

on tap at godron biersch in seattle. pretty typical american bock - very sweet, reminded me of baklava, slightly floral aroma, quite pale, pretty boring

Pours a delicate golden yellow with a small white head. Fairly hoppy aroma, a touch of malt sweetness. Taste starts with that bock maltiness, dusty tasting, with a light hopping in the finish. Finish has a sustaining bitterness that carries long after leaving a swill taste behind.

I’ve had this on tap at the restaurant before but this is a rating from the bottle. Inch of fluffy head that sticks around for a good long moment. A actual beer that is a golden color. Some sweet malt in the nose resembling a pale lager. Automatically taste corn or rice in the flavor, and a moderate amount of caramel and honey. Surprised to see this was 7% since there is a even balance of hops and malt. Quite a fair bock from the states.

Somewhat sweet with hints of what makes a belgian abbey great, but only hints. Carbonation is heavy and soda-like, which detracts from the initial flavor of the beer.

Poured clear golden color with small white head. Aroma of a macro...boring and sweet malt. Crappy metallic flavor, sweet malt, medium body. Very drinkable, alcohol is hidden very well. Not too bad in all though.

Looks...just...brown; barely a ring of head. Sweet and somewhat malty aroma. The 7% abv surprised me; there is a little warmth from this going down. Flavor is sweet but nondescript; not even much caramel flavor from all the heavy maltyness. Medium body and sticky. Not bad, not great. But 7% abv in a very inexpensive micro? Yow.
