On tap at SD location; 3 dollar pints for St. Patricks. Poured a gold, a bit murky, color with a medium to large white head. Aroma of bread, biscuit, and earthy hops. Flavor was pretty crisp, with earthy spicy hops. Biscuit malt was the background. Overall it was pretty refreshing and better than expected.

Pilsner hops aroma with some grain malt smell in the background. Light golden color with a white head that quickly dissipated, little action with a minor hint of sediment suspension. Lots of the Pisner hops flavors up front including some English Tea and a barley grain taste with a hint of butter in the background. Light bodied, slight buttery and watery/resin mix feel, with a tad of astringency and soft carbonation. Good session beer with a lot going on. This is titled Czech Style Pilsner on the bottle, hope it’s the same one. Bought the mixed case at Costco.

On tap at Brewpub , Virginia Beach
Appearance: mid gold look with light amber touch, Fine mid head.
Nose: Mild aroma , mostly malty with little hop shown for any pilsner.
Flavor/Palate : Bitter , light bodied brew. Raw , green hopping. Finish lacking malt softness. Felt unfinished not very close to original. Disappointing.

czech pilsner on draft at the mill location in tempe... clear rich golden yellow-y colored pour with a fluffy white head. it is fairly long lasting and leaves a crazy stained glass window-like pattern behind in foam. very perfume-y aroma has notes of grass, faint caramel and earthy pils malt with a fair amount of spiciness. the flavor is the same... a bit sweeter and malt forward than the usual, spicy and slightly skunky with a nice bitter dry finish. the body is surprisingly medium/full with a creamy smooth mouth feel. shockingly good and satisfying... 7/4/7/4/14/3.5

.5 liter draft at the Gordon Biersch brewpub in downtown Kansas City. Pour is clear golden, not much of a white head. Pretty lacing as the glass goes down. Aroma of grainy earthy malt and fresh saaz hops. Taste is a nice mix between the grainy hay malt and saaz bitter hoppiness. Palate is medium to thin, prickly carbonation and a long grassy finish. Overall, a nice refreshing Pils that went well with the excellent chicked sandwich I had for lunch.

sampled at brewpub in kansas city Faint, lagerish aroma. Slightly hazy body with a little lace at the top of the glass. Not much head or lace. Stone smoked flavor. Unique. Not bad although a little thin. Decent; the smoked flavor is fun and unique.

On tap at Annapolis location--identified as "Czech Pilsner" rather than "Czech Lager". Let this one warm up a little. GB seems to serve things too cold. Once it does warm, the flavor really opens up. I loved it. Unusual, in that this beer almost seemed malt-focused, with the hops there only for their considerable bitterness, of both a piercing and blunt variety. I liked that feature, as it really served to highlight the star of the show, which was the malt. The malt was extraordinarily complex--the flavors were primarily that kind of fresh sweetness that I associate with some of my favorite pale lagers. There was a little corny taste in their for good measure. I found it superb.

From Safeway on sale for $6.99 a six pack. Yellow, white, head, light lacing. Light mouthfeel. Flavor of grain and light hops. Very ordinary.
