I sampled some of this beer on tap at the brewpub in DC. It had a grainy hops aroma with a touch of grassy hops and dry maltyness, but an unimpressive aroma overall. The beer had a golden straw color with a moderate, foamy white head with decent retention. The flavor was mostly, but not heavily, bitter, with hop characters at the strongest. The beer was on the dryer side, although slightly watery in texture and had a decent level of carbonation. Overall this beer was a bit disappointing and not too exciting at all.

Pours a very yellow golden color. Head is a thin white. Aroma is german hops and carbonated water with wheat. Taste is same, a very dry beer but too watery for me. Aftertaste is cotton balls and bandaids. Probably my least favorite beer here (though none are above average).

Enjoyed on tap at the Washington, DC location. Saaz hop bitterness, not quite, near metallic. Medium yellow, a caesar crown of white and lace. Medium mouthfeel. Off bitterness that makes it not all that drinkable.

Dark gold-amber colour. Footy nose with light diacetyl and rotting citrus...that ain’t right. Light, bland but for the diacetyl-foot signature. Kind of watery. A real clunker.

Draught, Miami location. Clear amber. Small white head. Slight bit of lace scattered about unevenly. Diacetyl and sourness. Vanilla and some odd smoke, just as with the hefe had side-by-side. Flaws or unclean taps suspected...Prickly mouthfeel. Slight hop in the finish. Autolyzed yeast dominates. Tough to get through.

A tap at N Scottsdale location. Pours a medium gold with 2 finger snow white head. Decent lacing. Nose is grass, grain and malt. Palate is more malt with some hop in the finish. Not great, but drinkable.

Draught sample from New Orleans location. Clean nose, not much aroma other than light hop note. Golden clear with foamy/creamy lacing head. Medium-light body, smooth, with medium-heavy fizz. Starts with spicy malt roundness with good acidic gaseousness. Beany. Light peppery-sweet finish with dry bitter after. Good but not as grassy and soft as some others I’ve tried.

On tap at GB KC. The body was dark gold with a white head. The aroma was Saaz hops with some spice. A little bit of nice fresh bread. The taste was spciy with some bread crust. Nice clean finish. Overall, I would say that this was bright and clean. Nicely made, but still fairly boring.
