The aroma is sweet malty with a hoppy note - though not very Saaz like. The flavor is sweet malty with a hoppy note - again my guess is that it is not Saaz. The end is dry. yespr (12345), Copenhagen O, Denmark

| 1.1 | Aroma | Appearance | Flavor | Palate | Overall | | 2/10 | 2/5 | 2/10 | 1/5 | 4/20 | Jun 11, 2008 Dark gold-amber colour. Footy nose with light diacetyl and rotting citrus...that ain’t right. Light, bland but for the diacetyl-foot signature. Kind of watery. A real clunker. CaptainCougar (5520), Rockville, Maryland, USA
| 2.8 | Aroma | Appearance | Flavor | Palate | Overall | | 6/10 | 3/5 | 5/10 | 3/5 | 11/20 | Dec 6, 2009 On tap at the Rockville location as Czech Lager: Pours a bright golden brass with a well-lacing froth of white foam. Has a sweet pale malty nose with some fresh Saaz hops and a touch of light fruity notes. Starts with a fizzy effervescent and faint pale grainy sweetness with a strong assertive grassy hop bitterness before an astringent finish. Could use a little more sweetness and flavor hops with less bitterness. Cletus (5057), Connecticut, USA

| 3.1 | Aroma | Appearance | Flavor | Palate | Overall | | 6/10 | 3/5 | 6/10 | 3/5 | 13/20 | Jul 19, 2007 Decent stuff. Draft at the Rockville, MD location. Firm rocky white head atop a clear golden body. Nose of earthy clean yeast and a moderate note of grassy saaz hops. Crisp and clean tasting, filtered, obviously, but still fresh enough and crisp enough to enjoy. Nothing too spectacular, just a run of the mill mildly sweet cereal grain flavor with a touch of buttered biscuits and saaz hops. Cornfield (4964), Oak Forest, Illinois, USA
| 3.1 | Aroma | Appearance | Flavor | Palate | Overall | | 6/10 | 3/5 | 7/10 | 3/5 | 12/20 | May 23, 2007 Tap: This poured a bright golden body with lazy bubbling and a substantial white head that semed to paste the lacing to the sides of the glass. The aroma is honeyed bread with a firm grassy bitterness. Both sweet and bitter are well balanced in the flavor, the grassy bitterness lasting into the finish along with a light touch of lemon. Sessionable, especially with a cute mixologist tending to your needs.
