Commercial Description:
Dunkelweizen translates from German to mean dark wheat. Gordon Biersch Dunkelweizen highlights the undertones of dark roasted malted wheat and the unique flavors produced by our special Hefeweizen yeast strain. Our Dunkelweizen adheres to all of the traditions of the Reinheitsgebot (German Purity Law of 1516) and is naturally carbonated.

Bottle. Hazy caramel beer with a nice light tan head. Banana, clove, caramel, and spice aroma. Wheat, caramel, banana, clove flavor. Medium-light body. Refreshing. Light citrus, caramel, yeast and wheat lingering.

On tap, vegas airport. A very cloudy copper/brown with a large head, good lacing. Huge banana aroma, a little clove. Flavor seems to be missing something in the finish and the palate is a bit thin. Solid overall.

Looks nice. Very cloudy. A little bit of banana in the aroma. It’s all a build-up to a disappointingly thin beer. Not a lot of flavor, just a lot of wheat.

{draft @ New Orleans loc’n} Their current "feature" brew (seasonal?). Golden amber, hazy, dense merangue of a head. Pleasant banana bread aroma, soft spices. Soft smooth palate of banana and toasted wheat, slightly tart finish. Nice.

Mediocre dunkel here. Mild aromas and flavors. Very thin body for a dunkel. Nothing bad about it. Just nothing great.

Candy sugar in the aromas, along with roasted wheat and some stark, plain yeast that have a banana-ish smell. Very dark in color, attractive. Malty on the palate, but thin. Sweetening finish.

Draught at the brewpub in Las Vegas
Hazy dark amber color. Clean aroma of ripe banana. Sweet taste, mix of their Hefeweizen and Dunkel (caramel and banana) and this one as well is not much hopped.

a beuty of a beer with a nice thick creamy tan head and brown hazy fluid below. makes a nice beer mustache. some spice and banana in the nose with some notes of malt. good at first with the same qualities in the palate but soon became too sweet with a malty extractness. however, the first GB beer not to give me a headache a couple of hours later.
