Commercial Description:
is a full-bodied, malty beer. It is our only lager beer served unfiltered, the way all beer was traditionally made years ago. Despite its dark color and rich caramel aroma, Dunkles is light in texture and smooth to drink.

When I first saw it I thought it was a porter. But with it's light taste I knew it was a lager. Nice brown color with a good tan head. Light and smooth. Not a bad beer.

(tap) Smooth. My first instinct was I was drinking nothing. But it really grew on me, a nice malty taste, a nice cloudy dark color. I had this, the Blonde Bock and the Marzen at the same time and this was clearly the best of the 3.

Candied malt aroma, cloudy copper, medium vanilla head. Well roasted malt flavour, nutty too, very pleasant bitterness. Pretty good beer.

Tasted at Oakville, but it was brewed at Whitby
Reddish dark brown; caramel nose w/ wood, toffee; palate is a little bit watery; light bread crust & toffee in there as well.

Still my favorite in the lineup. Love the deep brown color. Wish the nose was bigger. Great German malt flavor that goes into the finish. The hops don't get in the way but there's plenty of bitter.

Tempe, AZ. Cloudy dark brown color, decent head. Some malt and chocolate in the aroma. Malty flavor, but some weak vomit-like off-flavor, maybe from the yeast, that made this beer unenjoyable. Disappointing light mouthfeel. Not good.

Pretty good. Ranks up with the Marzen. Rediish brown with frothy head that stuck around. Slightly sweet, clean with decent bitterness for the style. Some nutty and tiny hoppy notes cam through as I exhaled after each sip.
