May 26, 2004 On tap in Hawaii. Dark brown in color with an averaged sized tan head. Nutty, roasted and malty smells and tastes. This was my 1st Dunkel style and it wasn’t that bad (I liked it more than other Gordon Biersch Beers).

Sep 25, 2002 Updated: Dec 18, 2006Draft... The aroma was slightly sweet and spicy. Something like cinamon. Can’t place it. Also, soapy water in the nose. Maybe they had just washed the glass. Clear, dark mohogany. Foamy, big, off-white head. Malty, but not sweet. Well balanced. A touch fruity. Slightly thin, watery mouthfeel. Lively carbonation. Finishes clean and dry. Very good beer. The restaurant in DC needs to rinse their glasses better. Dish soap ruins what is otherwise a very nice nose.
