Surprisingly solid hefe from G.B., which doesn’t always stand for "good beer." Standard yellow appearance with a white head. Banana and clove on the aroma and flavor, fairly phenolic with a considerable yeast presence. Lemon flavor as well, or maybe that was just from the lemon they put in the beer. Surprisingly full on the mouthfeel. I approve. daknole (3032), Scottsdale, Arizona, USA

| 3.6 | Aroma | Appearance | Flavor | Palate | Overall | | 7/10 | 4/5 | 7/10 | 4/5 | 14/20 | Jan 22, 2009 On tap at the Palo Alto location. Pours a hazy golden orange with a medium foamy white head that laced. This was a solid hefe. Has your standard banana, clove and juicey fruit gum thing going on in both the flavor and aroma. Some wheat notes. Everything else (mouthfeel, bitterness and carbonation) were in check with how a hefe should be. bleeng (600), Spring near Beersel, Texas, USA
| 3.3 | Aroma | Appearance | Flavor | Palate | Overall | | 7/10 | 3/5 | 6/10 | 3/5 | 14/20 | Jan 17, 2009 Tap at the Glendale AZ brewery. Hazy yellow with a small head. Nose is very clovey and bananaish. Taste is very clovey, bananas, yeasty. Smooth and a good shot at a traditional Bavarian Hefe. Just not quite there but very drinkable nonetheless. | 3.7 | Aroma | Appearance | Flavor | Palate | Overall | | 8/10 | 3/5 | 7/10 | 4/5 | 15/20 | Jan 10, 2009 This is possibly the best hefe i have ever had. Aroma is a nice zesty lemon, the appearence is a cloudy light amber with a head that dissipates quickly. Flavour is a bit of initial citrus sourness with some banana and cloves mid palate with a rounded ripe banana finish. Finish is a bit short, but it is very good, no faults. mpersinger (191), , California, USA
