Lackluster carbonation, no head, almost seemed like it was left out in the open, then put on draft. Chalk it up to a bad experience, I will try again when I come across it. If it is better I will most certainly re-rate.

Typical banana and clove aromas with a touch of cereal and hay smells. Nice body and decent mouthfeel. Slightly watery with a spice predominant flavor along with some decent yeasty citrus in there as well. Solid dbarnold (20), Bethesda, Maryland, USA
| 3.1 | Aroma | Appearance | Flavor | Palate | Overall | | 7/10 | 3/5 | 6/10 | 3/5 | 12/20 | Dec 24, 2009 on tap at Washington DC location. Pours nice and cloudy, light summery nose of citrus and wheat. A good hefe because it’s not too sweet..light and fruity with a clean crisp finish. TonyDiUlio (197), New Jersey, USA
| 3.7 | Aroma | Appearance | Flavor | Palate | Overall | | 7/10 | 4/5 | 6/10 | 4/5 | 16/20 | Dec 23, 2009 The best of the beers I tasted from this brewery. Pours a hazy orange. Aromas of orange peel and corriander, just like you would expect. Some banana as well. Some nice spices in both the aroma and the flavor. Well balanced. CaptainCougar (5532), Rockville, Maryland, USA
| 3.7 | Aroma | Appearance | Flavor | Palate | Overall | | 7/10 | 4/5 | 7/10 | 4/5 | 15/20 | Dec 6, 2009 On tap at the Rockville location: Pours a hazy yellow golden with a well-lacing froth of white head. Has an authentic sweet wheat and banana nose with some clove spice and Bavarian yeasty esters. Starts with good fullness for the style and chewy sweet malted wheat well-balanced with a clove spice and a hint of lemon citrus before a smooth semi-sweet finish. A good example of the style. Yeasty bread aroma with sweet fruit noticeable.
Very noticeable bubblegum and fruit flavour, yeasty bread and noticeable carbonation.
Very good beer, better than the Marzen

Creamy head soaks into the toungue and lightens the mood immediatley. Classic cloudy yellowish amber. Very refreshing, one of the better hefes on tap out there. lithy (1845), Knoxville, Tennessee, USA
