Color is a lovely deep honey-brown with a nice thick fine-bubbled head. Aroma is weak but pleasant and malty. Flavor is surprisingly hoppy, considering the aroma; there is a malty undertone along with a nice bitter bite. Smooth, lively, a delight to drink.

Had on tap in Columbus. Poured a nice amber color. Sorry, forgot to smell it! Flavor was VERY sweet. Caramel, honey and Malts. Pretty thick mouth feel, I thought. I actually really enjoyed this beer and it is one of my favorites from them for sure.

Va BF 07 Draft: Subtle honey smell. Slightly cloudy pour, dark gold color. Tastes a bit skunky, weak flavor otherwise. Dark chocolate finish. Very low hops.

On tap at the San Jose location. The Maibock is a Hazy sienna with a thin white head. It’s quite sparkling and it leaves good lacing. The aroma is fruity and wooden... a little butyl. It is medium-bodied, smooth but slightly chalky. The flavor has a nice fruit peel bitterness and a little black pepper from the alcohol. Not bad.

Draft from the Pasadena location. Had this a few weeks ago and went back for another 2 days ago. Nice 2 finger head and very clear. Good malty aroma and the flavor matches it. There is a small amount of hop as compared to an IPA and a good balance for this style. I like it.

Draft, Tysons Corner location. Pours a hazy orange-amber color; fluffy white head with good lacing and retention. Pleasant, wet malt and candy sugar aroma. Medium-to-full, chewy mouthfeel: lively carbonation, chewy caramel and malty core; light citrus character balancing things out; this beer really puts out a lot more flavor than one first expects. Well done. Full, caramel and wet malt finish.

Pours a slightly hazed, yellow/orange nectar w/ good residual lacing. A white blanket just sat there forever. Nice! Aroma of sweet medicinal tropical nectar. Full nectar w/ silky, creamy residual effers. A very malty brew akin to Hansens fruit nectar. Slightly medicinal, banana, kiwi, peach nectar, slight clove spice. Theres a slightly balancing peach pit bittering component. The finish is long, semi sweet and thickly malted. An interesting brew. They told me was 9% abv at the brewery.
