Feb 17, 2009 (draft @ Golden Nugget Casino - Las Vegas, NV) Copper color with a creamy looking tan head. Aroma is lightly sweet with some strong hints of caramel and some light spice. Flavor has a very light hop flavor at the beginning and blends well with a smooth malt and caramel middle. Finishes lightly bitter.

Feb 14, 2009 Draft at brewpub in kansas city. Pours dark reddish color with a moderate off-white head that left some lacing. Sweet malty aroma with hints of spiciness. Flavor is also sweet with a bit of hop bitterness and some spice. Medium body and smooth mouthfeel. Pleasant beer, but not great

Feb 7, 2009 copper colored, 1 fnger head. not much smell i can pick up. has a decent moutfeel, pretty smooth actually. taste is kinda meh, not a whole lot going on with it. get little malt and a touch of sweetnes, a tad bitter hops, nothing really stands out though. okay beer, nothing to get excited about. would much rather have Sam Adams Octoberfest any day. could also bet that its February and maybe need to get it again when it comes back in season.

Feb 7, 2009 Very little in the nose, but perhaps a hint of sweetness. I’m not sure what everybody else tasted in this beer, but I tasted a straight out beer with a hint of maple syrup. It was kind of an interesting sensation. Would drink again, but not my first choice.

Feb 2, 2009 On tap at GB in Palo Alto. Standard Oktoberfest. Standard beer. Orangish-amber with an off-white head. Not particularly good or bad. Sweet caramel malt dominates the aroma and flavor - it’s good but there’s not much else there. Smooth on the mouthfeel.

Jan 26, 2009 Pours a cloudy brown/ amber color. Not a lot of lacing (poured out of a bottle), the smell is sweet, but the taste is a bit grainy and bitter.

Jan 23, 2009 On tap at Flying Saucer. Pours a clear amber color with a small frothy light tan head. The aroma is a sweet fruit malt with raisin and nuts. Decent lacing on the glass. The taste is a bit sour with a light caramel malt. A decent Marzen from Gordon

Jan 22, 2009 On tap at the Palo Alto location. Pours a translucent amber with golden notes and a medium slightly off white head. Aroma of caramel, nuts, sweet maltiness and hints of citrus. Some cereal grains as well. Flavor the same. Reminded me if Yuengling Lager...but better and that’s not saying much.
