(bottle) beautiful copper color, but almost no head. Biscuit malt aroma. Flavor is biscuit malt. A bit of floral hops finish.

On tap at the San Jose location. This marzen is a very clear amber with a barely-there off-white head. Both hops and malt are present in the aroma and they blend well. In the mouth, it is thin and a bit chalky. The flavor starts slightly dry and bitter, but it tapers to a soft, malty sweetness at the finish.

From the tap this pours a bright orange body with a thick, sustained head. The nose is sweet and worty and has some toasted malts. It tastes of honeyed toast, a splash of caramel, and a mild earthy hoppiness. Not bad.

Pours copper w/ a decent head and lacing. Aromas of malted biscuit dough. Medium nectar w/ ample residual effers. Flavors of malty biscuit dough overshadow w/ a mild hop presence. The finish is too bitter for the style.

OK amber color. Slight hops and malt. Very weak in flavor and complexity of flavors. The best G.B. but still pretty poor.

Brown 12 oz bottle dated 9/06 and it only cost a dollar at Vintage estates in Boardman. Pop the lid for a fruity strong ale aroma of candy or metal. This beer is darker than the ubiquitous american pale yellow lager but is not a dark beer. It is just a little darker than normal. Taste is hearty, without being terribly bitter. There seems to be a mall alky kick to it. It comes across caramely and chewy at times. Good friendly above average carbonation that is welcomed down the throat. Overall a slightly less than well behaved brew. The finish has some malt alky bitterness but it is only low to mild. Also the finish is short and does not linger. Almost as good a Schell or Hacker but better than City Fest.

A nice amber color witha good head. This was a nice easy to drink and malty lager. Had some nice flavor nothing special but nothing bad either. Good stuff .

Draft. Golden colored, small white head. Malty, toffee flavor. Some grainy tastes. Balanced with mild hop bitterness in finish. Easy drinking but not that special.
