Tasted about right for the style; not overly impressive or overly bad. Sweet caramel malt. Some fruit presence. Some slight hops in the end. bitbucket (2036), Kirkland, Washington, USA
| 3.1 | Aroma | Appearance | Flavor | Palate | Overall | | 6/10 | 3/5 | 6/10 | 3/5 | 13/20 | Apr 8, 2007 Bottle. Pours a clear copper with a fading off-white head. Sweet, nutty caramel aroma. Medium body and carbonation. Smooth and lightly sweet taste of caramel, roasted nuts, honey and fruit. Dry noble hop finish. Papsoe (15103), Frederiksberg, Denmark
| 3 | Aroma | Appearance | Flavor | Palate | Overall | | 6/10 | 3/5 | 6/10 | 3/5 | 12/20 | Apr 7, 2007 (Bottle 35,5 cl) Clear, amber golden with a white head that leaves some lacing. Sweetish, lightly caramelish aroma - actually quite close to genuine Bamberg style. The body is medium, with lightly sweet caramel notes. The hops are dry and floral. Quite decent, and a lot better than expected given Gordon Biersches reputation.... 280307 Delirium (502), Santa Cruz, California, USA
| 3 | Aroma | Appearance | Flavor | Palate | Overall | | 6/10 | 3/5 | 6/10 | 3/5 | 12/20 | Mar 13, 2007 Draught. Pours clear amber with a small white head. Light caramel aroma, slight hops in the background. Flavor is similar, finishing dry and crisp. A bit weak even for the style, but entirely pleasant. rmussman (905), California, USA
| 3.1 | Aroma | Appearance | Flavor | Palate | Overall | | 6/10 | 3/5 | 6/10 | 4/5 | 12/20 | Mar 4, 2007 Sampled a few times. The pour is light brown and very nice, with little head. Aroma and flavor are kind of bitter in a bad way and have a lingering after taste that is not pleasent. A well crafted beer but I dont care for the acidic taste. | 3.7 | Aroma | Appearance | Flavor | Palate | Overall | | 7/10 | 3/5 | 8/10 | 3/5 | 16/20 | Mar 4, 2007 Tap. Clear amber body, white head. Caramelly-fruity aroma - crystal malt and strawberry. Good clean flavor - pale malt base with tasty grape/strawberry crystal malts on top. The finish gives you a light tickle of piney hops, but this guy is definitely all about smooth, sweet malts. hayduke (1664), Eureka, California, USA

For this price you expect something special. It poured a rich copper color with a nice off-white head that left good lacing. Fairly attractive. Nose was of malts and hops, with a smooth mouthfeel and flavors of malts. Nice finish was a touch of sweetness. Decent brew but just a little expensive for what you get. pivo (2537), Germany
| 3 | Aroma | Appearance | Flavor | Palate | Overall | | 6/10 | 3/5 | 6/10 | 3/5 | 12/20 | Feb 25, 2007 At the Dulles Int’l Airport: Served ice cold and flat in a plasitc cup. Points off already. Nice color, but no head or carbonation to see. Caramelly malt, toasted grain flavors. Honey sweetness. Tight bitter at end. Good balance and nice beer overall, really. A characterful Märzen with more potential than this sample showed.
