On tap poured a reddish/amber color with a nice off white head. The aroma was clean with more of a malt profile. The taste was a malty lager with a bit of a sweet finish. Overall a good beer, but a bit too sweet and malty for my taste.

Like the german style beers GB seems to favor. This one was a reddish-dark orange beer with some retention on the white head. Malty, doughy aroma. Much the same in the palate with a sticky finish. Average.

On tap. Clear amber coloured with a small head. Malty and kinda burnt in a good way. Hints of spices and caramel with a slight sweet finish.

On tap at the Washington DC restaurant. Amber-red color with a thin off-white head. No lacing noted. Reserved aromas of toasted malt, caramel, hay and some background noble hop spiceiness. Thin, somewhat watery palate but refreshing and clean. Flavors much like the aroma; toasty malts, sweet caramels and some faint, but crisp hops. Nothing astray here, just a bit of a middle-of-the-road lightweight Marzen.

Had it from a bottle in Santa Monica California. I liked the color, and the taste was very refreshing. Slight bitterness, smooth. Good finish.

Deep amber color, and I really don’t believe I can detect any hint of an aroma. I think there is something wrong with my nose. Flavor is like a flat white zinfindel wine. Very very dry and light bodied. Full of non-thirst quenching, and flavor disolving adjuncts added late in brewing. Very light hint of sweet malt after taste.

Sampled at the Broomfield, CO location. Beer was a light-to-medium clear caramel color with a small, white, frothy, mostly and quickly diminishing head. The aroma was malty with moderate notes of husky, toasted grain, caramel, trace note of toasted bread; Hoppy with a moderate herbal note. The flavor was moderately to heavily sweet, lightly bitter, trace acidic with a short, lightly warm-feeling finish. The body was light, the texture was watery and the carbonation was lively.

Reddish hue with a beige head. Honey and breadlike aromas. Tightly woven bubbles with a malty finish.
