Probably wouldn’t order any of the Biersch offerings after trying the sampler platter in Las Vegas. IrishBoy (2728), Bakersfield, California, USA
| 3.1 | Aroma | Appearance | Flavor | Palate | Overall | | 6/10 | 4/5 | 6/10 | 3/5 | 12/20 | Jun 21, 2006 (Bottled) Nose is malty with a raisiny undertone; copper colored with a small, quickly disipating head; flavor shows the malts, caramel, and a small hoppy finish. Evidently the bottled is better than the draft. piscator34 (1136), Winnipeg, Manitoba, Canada
| 2.4 | Aroma | Appearance | Flavor | Palate | Overall | | 5/10 | 3/5 | 3/10 | 2/5 | 11/20 | Jun 19, 2006 On tap at the Las Vegas location. Light amber in colour with some mild notes of toasted malt and floral hops on the nose. Caramel malts completely take over in the mouth, and anything that might have been interesting (toasted or German hop elements) completely fade away. More like a generic amber lager than a Marzen, as it is way too thin and not nearly toasty or malty enough to compete with the genuine article. At least it was vaguely drinkable. kumite56 (462), Cordova, Tennessee, USA

Aroma was skunk no pleasent. Flavor was skunk with malts underneath. Bad wouldn’t do this one ever again." eaglefan538 (2405), Wilmington, Delaware, USA
| 2.8 | Aroma | Appearance | Flavor | Palate | Overall | | 5/10 | 2/5 | 6/10 | 3/5 | 12/20 | Jun 11, 2006 Updated: Oct 5, 200810/08 Re-rate, from draft at the LAX aiport, numbers bumped up a little: Not a bad marzen, but not a standout. The flavor was fairly typical, dry toasty malts, light overall mouthfeel, but somewhat refreshing. Caramel at the fore, hops way in the background. Not bad for a lighter brew, but it’s not even a big marzen. Original rating from a bottle: Not so good. An oragne color, almost a flat out orange color, really. The head was initially strong but only a thin covering shortly after the pour with ZERO lacing. The aroma was all skunk, all bad. The flavor was some sort of a malt under some skunk and stale vegetables and herbs. Run from this one in a bottle anyway. shrubber85 (3014), Wallhalben, Germany
