An incredibly drinkable, non-challenging yet pleasant beer. Great sweet-maltiness. Very smooth and well-rounded. Faint, yet enjoyable palate. It’s not spectacular, but is solid and a good choice for a two or three-beer evening.

Sweet, caramel aroma with a hint of butterscotch. Dark amber with a thin head with poor retention. Faiirly sweet caramel flavour with some detectible dark malts. Good example of a Marzen, but nothing ecceptional.

SDalkoholic provided this one for my enjoyment.. Thanks again! This brew is about as middle of the road as a beer can get... it’s not spectacular, but it’s not a slacker... I enjoyed this one, but there are better examples. A nice session beer, in my opinion.

Auburn colour, malty aroma. Very dry though little hops and more on malt. Aggressive carbonation distracts. Crisp. bit of lace.Touch of roast. Does not all go together. Highest alcohol of their lineup. Much better atthe Washington DC branch.

Pours brown with a small white head. Grainy, malty flavor. Fairly smooth. Went good with the pulled pork sandwich offered at the restaraunt. Decent, I’ll drink it again.

Reddish orange with very little white head. Sweet, lightly caramel, very malty aroma. Flavor is malty and sort of "round," but there isn’t much here at all. Thin but clean. Needs to be kicked up a notch.

12 oz bottle, bottled on 09/30/04. Got a six-pack of this on sale for $3.99, so my expectations were not very high.
Pours a burnt orange color, with a large, creamy, orange/white head that slowly reduces to a thin cap.
spotty lacing.
Aroma is sweet malt, yeast, caramel.
Flavor is mild, almost bland, a little malty, a little hoppy.
If I could get this for $3.99 all the time I’d drink it more often., at less than a $1 a beer it’s not too bad. Any more than that, I’ll buy something else.

Fairly mild, not hugely favorful beer. Very mildly hoppy, which does not linger on the palate.
