(12 oz bottle) Pretty decent, but flawed, Oktoberfest lager with an assertive German-style maltiness and a complementing, moderately bitter hops that lasts long into the finish. Fairly sugary and sweet though, especially in the finish where it becomes a tad cloying, and that’s the big flaw. Malty nose is about right for Oktoberfests. Light amber color. The off-white head’s size and retention are about average, but lacing is nonexistent. I know this isn’t that great a beer, but it does seem more German in style than American, and my overall impression is fairly positive. If they could lessen the sugary sweetness just a bit, this would be a pretty nice beer, so this is on the cusp for me.

Mildy hop and malt flavor, with a slightly sweet finish. This was great for sipping around the bbq.

There is a tangy malty flavor and aroma to this mildly hopped beer. Some carmel malt comes through, especially when it starts to warm up.

on tap GB: i think this is a very different beer on tap at LV instead of bottled (san jose). its not a great marzen but it does have a little bit more alcohol as it should but too much sweetness alcohol flavor for me. very malty toasted overtones with little or no hop character. they serve them up nice at GB in a .51 L with large frothy head. it used to be my favorite GB beer but i grew tired of it, gives you a wicked hangover and headache, buyer beware!

Starts with a thin rush of caramel that gets eaaten up by the prickly carbonation - didn't thicken up much after warming, either. Finishes with a slightly metallic hop bite, a hint of sourness, and a final spot of caramel. I probably wouldn't have it again, except maybe with pizza

Watery, slight notes of caramel, a little too sweet, quicky dissapating head, smooth, I bought a 12er and shouldn't have any trouble finishing it, but it might be the last time I buy it.

Too thin and oddly sweet for me. Caramel colour and flavour with a slightly bitter aftertaste - but not in a good way. Average.

Very clean and crisp beer. Slight nuances of carmel. Sweet malty aroma. Pretty amber color thin head.
