May 16, 2009 Coppery amber in appearance and poured a little flat with low carbonation. Heavy toasted bread aroma complimented by a luscious roasted malt flavor. Overall this is very nice. A solid Marzen offering.

May 14, 2009 Location: We have a bunch of these in the metro DC area, I think I’ve prob been to 3 of them, including the one in "Downtown Rockville" that I visit pretty often, I’ve had this one on tap there a few times
Overall Impression:
This is a solid, but predictable example of the style, they type of beer you’ll enjoy but you won’t remember.

May 7, 2009 Tap@GBSeattle. Malty aroma with a hint of caramel. Light amber colour, beige head, good lace. Very sweet, light bitter, malty, hints of caramel and nuts. Sticky mouth feel. Too sweet, I couldn’t finish a whole pint.

Pours clear copper, thin white head.
Aroma is malty, some hops and fruits notes.
Taste, lively carbonation, caramel, remains weak, with some bitter cherry fruits, and a tad of sweetness.
Couldn’t finish the glass, just boring to drink.

Apr 24, 2009 Pours clear copper with minute long tan head. The aroma seems to be a combination of grains, corn, caramel and just noticeable vague hops. The taste seems much the same with grainy malts and a decent amount of caramel to go along with a combination of floral hops and corn. Into the finish it stays pretty much the same and leaves a caramel, faint floral hop and grain notes into the after taste.

Aroma of toasted malts, caramel and light fruit. Taste is toasted malts, sweet candylike berry notes and a bitter grassy hop finish. Thin-medium bodied, 5/3/6/3/12

Apr 14, 2009 Tap at the San Francisco Airport location: Deep copper pour with an off white film of head. Sweet malt aroma- evident creamy German malt notes. Simple. Average mouthfeel- a bit macro-ish on the palate. Thin malts in the flavor with a bready sweet note and toasted caramel. Low bitterness. On style with no big flaws, just seems macro-ish. Sessionable.
