Tap at the San Francisco Airport location: Deep copper pour with an off white film of head. Sweet malt aroma- evident creamy German malt notes. Simple. Average mouthfeel- a bit macro-ish on the palate. Thin malts in the flavor with a bready sweet note and toasted caramel. Low bitterness. On style with no big flaws, just seems macro-ish. Sessionable.

On tap at a Durham Bulls game. Felt bad for skipping out on the Foothills brews that were available but thought I’d try this. Clear amber/orange pour with off-white head and decent retention and lacing. Very average marzen overall. Mild sweet malts, slight orange flavors. Bit of toffee. Inoffensive.

I really enjoyed this one. Im generally a sucker for the style, but I felt like this was a good example. Nice dark color, goes down smooth.

Draft @ Annapolis: Poured a copper brown with not much head. The aroma was malt and nuts. The flavor was sweet malts, toffee, brown sugar, and a slight nutty character. Overall, decent brew.

An ok marzen, although there are certainly better ones out there. Typical aroma.flavor of malt, caramel and some toffee. Nothing too special.

On tap-Annapolis location-Copper colored w/a slight off white/tan head. Sweet malt aroma. Had some malt flavor, maybe a little toffee. Nothing special-not bad, just kind of basic. Thin mouthfeel, particularly for this style. Short weak finish.

The aroma is dusty, malty, and corn like malt and floral hops. The appearance is orange gold with a large head. The flavor is like the aroma. The palate is thin. Overall a nice tasting beer that is a bit thin and weak.
