I got faint citrus notes and a dusty malt sweetness. I noticed the hops but the finish was a little metallic. Good with Chinese food. daboskabouter (1470), Fergus, Ontario, Canada
| 2.9 | Aroma | Appearance | Flavor | Palate | Overall | | 6/10 | 3/5 | 5/10 | 3/5 | 12/20 | Dec 9, 2003 Light golden appearance, simple white head. The nose is lightly fruity with a slight maltiness. Nice crisp bitterness in the body, fruity and a bit of citrus. A straighforward, yet nice pils. drinkbeer (280), Redondo Beach, California, USA

| 2 | Aroma | Appearance | Flavor | Palate | Overall | | 5/10 | 2/5 | 3/10 | 2/5 | 8/20 | Dec 3, 2003 Pale gold, little head. The looks don't bode well. Aroma is somewhat malty, but with a somewhat disturbing note of new vinyl. Flavor is smooth with light hints of hops (highly hopped? I think not) and a fair amount of bitterness coming in late. A little bit of metal in the finish. There are much better pilseners out there. haddon90 (1040), Alexandria, Virginia, USA
| 2.8 | Aroma | Appearance | Flavor | Palate | Overall | | 5/10 | 3/5 | 6/10 | 3/5 | 11/20 | Nov 7, 2003 Pours a golden color with a frothy white head. Some hops in the aroma finished off by a hint of malt. Kind of light however in the hoppy taste, could have used more. A little bitter but a crisp taste nonetheless. A decent brew from Gordon Biersch. FlacoAlto (2482), Tucson, Arizona, USA
| 3 | Aroma | Appearance | Flavor | Palate | Overall | | 6/10 | 4/5 | 6/10 | 3/5 | 11/20 | Nov 7, 2003 Sampled on tap at the brewery in San Jose. Crisp and hoppy. A nice gold color topped by a dense white head. There is perhaps a faint bit of haze. The aroma is of continental hops, as it should be. The beer is finished by a light bitterness. Fortunately it has been served warm enough to get the subtle malt expression. A bit more hops would make this beer wonderful. y0cola (361), fremont, California, USA

| 3 | Aroma | Appearance | Flavor | Palate | Overall | | 6/10 | 2/5 | 7/10 | 3/5 | 12/20 | Sep 26, 2003 Golden pour with nice head. Toasty aroma with not much hops. I think this could almost be a lager with this lacking of hops. The malt is excellent though, lots of toast and biscuit. Yummy, I could drink this again.
