A clean pilsner. Not much here. Beats the average american pils. But for 7.99 a six pack everyone could do better.

Light on the aroma, bit more hops and bitterness than the Export but still thin and not much to it. Could use more malt.

Sampled at the Oakville location. Clear, bright gold. Fluffy white head. Some biscuity malt on the nose. Soft, medium, somewhat grainy feel. Sweet, bread-y malt flavour w/ hints of honey. Crisp, mildly hoppy finish.

Draught. Body is medium yellow. Aroma is lightly malty (bread, cookie), lightly hoppy (flowers, herbs). Flavor is moderately sweet, lightly bitter. Finish is lightly sweet, lightly bitter. Medium body, watery texture, lively carbonation. The traditional slightly-too-sweet Biersch profile, in a style where that aspect isn't served well.

Draught. OK pilsener, sort of dark golden looking. Not bad, not great, merely ok.

I'd say that this and the Export are Gordon Biersch's two best offerings. Granted, that's not ringing praise, as neither one will greatly impress a true beer lover, but they are slightly better than average. Anyway, this one has a nice bitterness up the backside, ala Victory Prima Pils, although this falls well short of that masterpiece. If you want your dollars going to the American economy but love the European flavor, this is a good option.

No aroma worth talking about. Golden not much carb or head. Bland malt and pretty boring.
