On tap at LAX, poured clear yellow/orange with a very small white head that disappered quickly and entirely and left very little lacing. Light malt and straw aroma with light grassy hops in the background. Moderate maly sweetness with a short-lasting sweetish adftertaste. Light bodied, soft and plentiful carbonation and a somewhat oily texture.

7/30/08 from the bottle. Aroma is very sour, with decent sweetness and a peppery clove note. Appearance is clear yellow with a fluffly white head. Flavor is again overly sour, and this does not blend well with the slightly higher noble bittering. The sweetness balances this out a bit, but not enough to make me want a 2nd bottle. Mouthfeel is light bodied with a somewhat low carb texture. Overall, I’m not too impressed, there’s far better available, even from large breweries.

Bottled. Bright gold body with a frothy white head. The aroma was obvious bread and carrots. The taste was slightly mild with some spice. There was also a woody smooth finish. Decent.

Bottle. A little hops aroma. Nice golden color with a fizzy, slight white head that didn’t last very long. No lacing on the glass. A little spicy at the beginning, with some grassy hops. Solid pilsner.

Draft from Gordon Biersch Store in Virginia Beach, VA. Lager had been made fresh, sent to freezer, then to tap. Beautiful head and golden yellow/brown body. Taste had a wonderful, fruity body and bite with no strong linger or bitterness. Lacing and clean, white head was outstanding. This was the best lager I have ever tasted. Maybe I was lucky and the brew was fresh but it was outstanding just the same. I have never tasted from bottle but my entry was tasted from a chilled lager glass. I am surprised it hasn’t been rated higher. The best brewery/pub or local lager at restaurant I have ever tried.

Draft at WCBF 2008. Light grassy hop aroma. Gold color with white head. Medium body with medium carbonation. Flavor is pale malt dominated by grassy hop. A very good pilsner (so why is it classed as premium lager?).

On tap at the SF brewpub. It’s ok, but not much too to it--very safe, straightforward pils.
