Kind of reminds me of a Carlsberg, and had no Pilsnery bite to it. It was too yeasty, bready and doughy for me, and not the crisp pilsner I hoped for. My least favorite of their beers possibly. On tap at the SF Gordon Biersch. riversideAK (2728), Shoreline, Washington, USA
| 3.2 | Aroma | Appearance | Flavor | Palate | Overall | | 5/10 | 3/5 | 7/10 | 3/5 | 14/20 | Jun 15, 2007 Have had this numerous times, finally getting around to rating it. Nice sweet mild bready aroma. Pours golden with a bubbly head. Flavor is more bready malt, honey, and a crisp hoppy finish. A nice refreshing beer. yesyouam (593), Fairport, New York, USA
| 2.6 | Aroma | Appearance | Flavor | Palate | Overall | | 4/10 | 2/5 | 5/10 | 3/5 | 12/20 | May 17, 2007 On tap at the San Jose location. This beer is a clear, light straw-colored lager with a small, creamy white head. There isn’t really any aroma-- perhaps a bit of light malt. It’s a bit watery, but refreshing. It is lightly bitter and clean tasting. Papsoe (14996), Frederiksberg, Denmark

Medium body with a clean malt base and some lightly floral hops leaving a solid bitterness. Very German in style. 280307 rmussman (905), California, USA
| 3.1 | Aroma | Appearance | Flavor | Palate | Overall | | 6/10 | 3/5 | 7/10 | 3/5 | 12/20 | Mar 4, 2007 Another average beer from Gordon Biersch. A nice beer, better than the Marzen but still lacks a great taste. Flavor is weak and leaves a lot to be desired. Worth a sample. hayduke (1654), Eureka, California, USA

Poured a bright yellow with a moderate white head. Minimal lacing. Nose of light malts and hops. Mouthfeel average. an flavors fo malts, hops, and somethjing odd. Not a really the greatest pils, but then not a drainpour either. Maybe slightly below average JohnnyJ (1312), Carlsbad, California, USA
| 2.6 | Aroma | Appearance | Flavor | Palate | Overall | | 6/10 | 3/5 | 4/10 | 3/5 | 10/20 | Feb 16, 2007 Pour is clear gold with a decent white head. Aroma is that of a standard pilsner, straw, light malt and hops. Flavor is not very good. Earthy, light malt and hops, and this other strange flavor that I can’t pin down (seems like skunk). Thin mouthfeel. bubbleflubber (893), Collinsville, Virginia, USA
| 2.9 | Aroma | Appearance | Flavor | Palate | Overall | | 6/10 | 3/5 | 5/10 | 3/5 | 12/20 | Feb 16, 2007 Pours transparent golden into the glass, with an initially decent head, quickly diminishing to minimal lace. Floral hops, dough and earth predominate the nondescript nose... The flavor is extremely yeasty, quite dry, containing a doughy effervescence. There is really nothing special here, with a sourdough finish and "slightly" overcarbonated mouthfeel... a bit thin and light. Everything about this is totally mediocre, nothing special... maybe some light lemon-pepper aftereffects, but again... nothing to write home about.
