ilovedarkbeer (1326), Dallas, Texas, USA Nov 6, 2009 Updated: Nov 8, 2009Pours and espresso brown color with a medium sized creamy tan head. Chestnuts, cocoa powder, roasted malt. Smooth and slightly creamy mouthfeel. Bit soapy. Medium weight. Not bad craftbeerdesign (731), Alpharetta, Georgia, USA Oct 5, 2009 on tap at Gordon Biersch in Midtown Atlanta on 10/4/09... pours a dark brown with a small off white head... medium body.. mild bitterness up front... roasted malts throughout. very drinkable and surprisingly good. BVery (446), Burnsville, Minnesota, USA Sep 11, 2009 TAP (Kansas City location): clear dark amber pour, thin body, with a mild roasted coffee taste. Pretty decent. Butters (1622), Virginia, USA Sep 2, 2009 On draft at the Miami location. Clear medium brown with semi reddish highlights and thin ring of off white head. Nose is attempting for roasty but just comes off as plastic and sickly sweet with horrible nail polish. The flavor is just as bad, like licking a dog turd. Can’t really even describe how bad this is. There is a roasty finish though... theisti (1640), Leawood, Kansas, USA Sep 2, 2009 500 ml draft at the downtown Kansas City location. Pour is clear ruby brown and black, with an ever so slight haze. One inch off white head falls fast. Decent lacing. Aroma of nutty roasty malt, some mild sweetness, light diacetyl. Taste is dusty and dirty roast nut malt, bright earth hop. Palate is thin, medium carbonation. Drinkable, though watery enough to dilute malt character. Just OK. j12601 (1151), Poughkeepsie, New York, USA Aug 29, 2009
