| 3.3 | Aroma | Appearance | Flavor | Palate | Overall | | 7/10 | 3/5 | 7/10 | 3/5 | 13/20 | Dec 2, 2006 On tap at GB Old Town Pasadena. Pours a clear black obsidian with a very thin tan head. Nutty aroma with chocolate, toffee, vanilla and citrus notes. Strong coffee flavor with a slightly roasted malt backbone and floral, herbal hops. Thin mouthfeel. Crisp finish with some caramel and vanilla sweetness. This just missed the boat along the way because it could be a very good beer. Immy (1912), Virginia Beach, Virginia, USA
